Is no one seeing past the delusion here??????? 4 new legendary weapons (wtf that is the least of any content release) + 2 "reprised weapon sets". 2 exotic weapons and thats it. There is nothing notable besides some new artifact perks. I cannot believe people will continue to play this game for another 2 months with this level of content.

Dude said “you want toxin on it” it’s a toxin based weapon. If your going to roll an element electric for corrosive, CC CD MELEE DMG -cc on slide, -heavy attack, -IPS, is the groll. A player with 50k in grolls cc cd Ms -neg Torid, Latron, Burston & more far more.

As of Year 7's enhancement system (replete with better UI to do stuff w/o going to the deepsight thingie in the Enclave), adept mods are not worth the trouble even for adept raid weapon. The new weapon mods for ANY shaped weapons (crafted or enhanced), not just master raid adepts, are preferable in many situations over adept mods. Is your weapon capable of getting anti-champ functionality from the seasonal artifact? Slot Stunloader mod to refill your mag when stunning champs. Even w/o a seasonal artifact anti-champ perk, weapons that have inherent anti-champ functionality (like Jolting Feedback, Voltshot, Chill Clip, etc.) can work with Stunloader. Does your build make excellent use of elemental pickups? Use the Synergy mod on your shaped weapon. The tactical and ballistics mods, increasing two stats by 6 (range/stability, handling/reload, blast radius/velocity whenever applicable, etc.), are excellent. Maybe not as robust as a single adept stat mod, but jfc, TWO stats get affected. I can see the appeal of Adept Counterbalance and Adept Backup Mag mods.... but barrel/mag perks along with "aim assist" perks help deal with recoil patterns (both recoil direction, which counterbalance directly affects, and deterministic recoil, which counterbalance indirectly affects and users don't know how until they try the weapon out). Adept Range got deprecated, and that was preferable over counterbalance for pvp anyway. Adept Backup mods help boost perks like Overflow, Amb Ass., Env. Ass., or Recon, even the new Envious Arsenal, but this really only matters for power weapons bc they can have the slowest reloads on average, and we should rarely need to empty an entire super-boosted mag size into champs and majors to kill them -- not even in a fireteam doing a GM Nightfall. If you're soloing a GM, maybe, but the idea is to stack damage as fast as possible to kill champs and major; ultra targets need DPS rotations anyway. Speaking of DPS weapons... well, heavy GLs have been back for a while and are still top dogs in many situations, and there're only THREE adept GLs afaik -- one of which is from a master raid. Plus, according to D2Foundry, that GL (Koraxis) has a Recon perk implementation that doesn't work properly with the adept backup mod. lol. Backup mags aversely affect perks like Target Lock or Attrition Orbs, too.

seeing that many artifact perks involve Taken power, I wonder if the third subclass of darkness wouldn't be Taken Power... it's either that or Nezarec's Nightmare powers, or the Hive Rituals, I can't think of any other options besides these three... (I dream of a SIVA power similar to what Venom does, but then I'm putting too much faith that I shouldn't have in Bungie lol)

Cross, you could buy the relics for vaulted content off other players. Varzia in Maroo's Bazaar also sells vaulted Prime relics, but only a selection (which rotates like every month).
