It is really funny that Destiny 2 is like that one really abusive partner that gives you tons of problems, yells at you, mistreats you, but still provides you with the good time (Gunplay) but then there's Warframe, that one sweetheart of a partner that sends the good morning messages, prepares you lunch, asks if you're fine whenever you seem down, throws random gifts at you and still provides ONE HELL OF A GOOD TIME (all the f2p experience) and if by chance they fuck up, they'll make it up for it (Look at how some systems were when they were first impletemented compared to today when they're liked)

While I will also join others in discouraging rushing things, I will say...Cross is at least going through the footwork of grinding/farming the blueprints/materials/credits/whatever for the builds, and in some (perhaps most) cases, he's probably paying less plat to rush a build than he is for the actual thing he's paying to rush. It's proving to be a nice illustration of the options players actually have when it comes to spending money in this game, and the tiers/levels you can pay if you choose to. The funniest thing was watching his chat fill up with people begging him to buy the Necramech so he could do New War, and he was like, "brother...nah...we grinding it." And he even pointed out, "if I had just bought the Necramech outright, I wouldn't have learned how to mine/fish." It's not a crisis spending money in this game to customize your experience, but you are absolutely shorting yourself knowledge and learning if you do it. Best part...he's spent money...isn't buying gear and weapons direct...AND he turned off gifting...and STILL made it through New War in about two weeks (and not even solidly grinding most of each day). Really says a lot about the "takes 100 hours to get good" meme, doesn't it?

PoE 2 felt like clocking into a 9-5 for me man. Walk through an area positively infested with enemies, which would be alright if it didn’t take 30-40 minutes to explore an area, only to not get anything you can use or anything you care about, make a pit stop at the settlement to sell your random loot, get lost again because map generation can be a little fucky, use the same 4 spells because nothing else does anything worth worrying about, get new weapon which doesn’t change anything because you’re not using auto attacks, etc etc. It just didn’t feel rewarding unfortunately

@@impossiblebeans9954 I've been playing PoE2 for a bit, after being a rather casual in PoE1...and so far, I will say, I might actually like PoE1 better for the reasons you cite. I do like PoE2 and I think it has some growing pains, as they are trying to make it feel different from PoE1, understandably so. I think GGG wants players to not necessarily play both, but play either one that suits your playstyle best. Struggling a bit in PoE2 actually makes me want to learn PoE1 better and get to endgame maps, which I've never really done before. The flow of PoE1 kinda feels better to me.

Bro, I played D1 and D2. Since beta as well. I literally only kept coming back to Destiny for story stuff. My issue was never Destiny, my issue was Bungie. Destiny is the most terribly monetized game ever. They leech so much money out of their playerbase. Warframe is the opposite of this. I've played it as well since about 2014. You can literally do everything in the game for free. Give it a chance. It's honestly a much better game in so many ways. It's a steep learning curve, but one that's worth it.

@@jonathanolson1185 I think that's most of our issues. You can feel that D2 SHOULD be a better game than what it is, but we can't make it a better game. That's up to Bungie. I used to brush off the idea for D3, but I honestly feel like all of the poor direction that D2 has went in, starting with a new game is the only options for Destiny as a whole. I think Bungie knows this. Which is why they're trying to put more time and effort into Marathon and whatever this "Gummy Bears" game is going to be. If they're going to start over, I think they'd just rather try their hands at another game altogether. I don't believe a lot of dire hard fans for Destiny have caught on to this though. As for me? I bought the annual pass for TFS. So I can at least guarantee I'll be around until the end of Heresy. I think this is a good stopping point so that I can focus on other things in life anyway.

Warframe from day one has been that game where it’s like the more you legit invest in it the more you get out of it. I still remember paying maybe 5 bucks for some plat and going through the very friendly in game trading and turning that into twenty bucks worth of plat. While then you can grind for shit or just trade. Then I’m top of that you join a clan or start one with your friends you guys can all invest in gear and decor for it and it’s just such a fun experience. I haven’t played for a while and honestly once I finish destiny act 3 I’m guna jump back into warframe.

people didn't like it because of the disconnect from the base game, considering how it was presented in the original fortuna reveal; that's why half of RJ missions now have normal gameplay since DE added that and normal gameplay missions to RJ after people complained about the disconnect but there's still an obvious disconnect (but I'm fine with it, RJ is fun) and now the normal mode second half of all missions is just extra tedium compared to the old setup that's the main reason people dislike it, and having bad history with the release issues and such. at this point I just wish they'd remove the normal mission part of RJ and bring it back to how it was originally, cuz at this point they kinda just make RJ missions less immersive as "the spaceship combat missions"; we're not gonna get the level of connectivity people imagined like with the reveal, so RJ should just be refined into it's own separate category of the game(which it already kinda is, but like I said, the normal missoin integration just makes RJ more tedious and less immersive; along with the general need for some more refinement)

It blows my mind how mad people are about rushing things. He's a streamer. He is streaming. Do you want to watch a stream of him puttering around waiting for his frames to come out of the oven? I've never paid to rush anything, but I can also log off and do something else while I wait. I'm not trying to keep an audience interested. It's a different situation. If you're just getting into the game: use your 50 plat on warframe slots and weapon slots. If you want to spend money on the game, wait for a 75% off discount from your daily login, then buy 2100 platinum for ~$25. That will cover you for slots forever, and the odd cosmetic here and there. You do not need to spend platinum to progress through the star chart or the story. If you want to skip the necramech grind, set aside 375 platinum for that.

I agree with you in every case except the necramech part. It's not that bad as it used to be and it teaches you about the open world farms and grinds. You do not need to rush all quests as well, a good mix of completion of the star chart and questing would be better. There is so much to do, that you can hold off on all the things that do not seem interesting to you and still have a lot of stuff to work on.

Also, The New War is a long quest that you have to set aside time to do. Waiting for the mech to build might mean doing the quest next weekend instead of this weekend, so rushing is likely worth it to a lot of people. If you're going to rush anyway, 375 plat gets you the whole thing with no delay, plus a slot, plus a potato for your rig and for your mausolon. Starts to look worth it. If someone has fun running isolation vaults for parts, ranking up the family to buy blueprints, mining for ore to refine (on multiple open worlds), spearing fish, etc, then they should go for it. But "I need to mine for pyrol before I can go save the universe?" is a kill screen, and I think people should know what it takes to skip it. Which is about $5 if you buy at a discount. I don't generally mind that Warframe often says "go do something else for a while", but it really shouldn't say that about the main questline IMO.

Welp Cross, you now reached a point where you can summon a Sister of Parvos, this is the Corpus equivalent of a Kuva Lich and for a bit of lore: Parvos sisters work as a sort of board of top executives inside the Corpus, if a candidate proves herself and survive the procedure, they become an official sister. There's also a bit of a lore explanation as to why only women can be in close association with Parvos (if you haven't heard the lore), Parvos used to have a brother in his youth, but when the Corpus were during their foundation process, Parvos bulldozed their childhood home and the entire farm grounds to kickstart his empire and that, obviously, caused a massive rift on their relationship, Parvos saw sentimental attachment as an obstacle for profit, he thought that there's nothing unethical if it means achieving your goals and dreams, and his brother didn't like what he has become so they parted ways, while Parvos only saw his brother as an ambitiousness guy, more than happy with being a farmer for the Orokin.

Happy to see that you enjoy Railjack. Idk if people commented that in the chat but Railjack is probably the best way to farm endo and credits when you're a beginner since the Railjack parts and weapons that are dropped through the missions can be sold for endo. If you want you can ask the chat to go and farm a little bit. ALSO, the parts that are dropped can be reconstructed and used in your Railjack if you want but only fix MK3 parts that are good bc wasting resources on MK1 or MK2 parts is not worth :D

Railjack is something like gambit where so many people say its terrible or annoying and not worth it that more and more people tend to feel that way without giving it a fair shake. I personally loved it coming from destiny and wanting some kind of space combat. And a lot of the time when i do kuva/sisters and its my ship that gets picked people love it cause it actually a built ship

@JPRequiem randoms are like relics, low MR are like intacts and high MR are like radiants, no matter what you'll always get the commom drop BUT the moments you do get the rare ones, it's a treasure (esp if they wanna stick around for more missions)

tip for using Protea's 4th: if you manually detonate it (right before the timer expires), you can quickly go into spoiler mode, and if you dont want to go back to protea, just wait till her 4th ability sound effects are done and then use spoiler mode again. this way you can avoid the rewind

It’s just mind boggling how greedy bungie is when you compare it to games like warframe. Between free games like warframe and Fortnite and paid games like hell divers, no man’s sky, and sea of thieves, they’re all constantly offering free stuff. Hell man, games like overwatch 2 and gta 5 offer free activities but gta 5 is a bit designed to pressure you into buying access to businesses but it’s still free. Good ol bungie have the audacity to charge for 15 to 20$ skins, 15$ for access to a season of reskinned guns, recycled guns we used to own, a bland casual 3 man activity, and a bland story, even after charging 60$ for a half baked game, forcing people to buy DLCs, then making the game f2p and taking away all of the content without any compensation.

Stopped play WF after beta testing around 2014( I believe) and never touched it since, after seeing you playing and having fun with the story, i linked my steam account to PS and not i can't get enough. I bought all the dlc for D2 except the last one and didn't have this much fun going through the campaign solo.
