How to fix P000B Code: Exhaust “B” Camshaft Position Slow Response (Bank 1)
A P000B code is set when the computer (ECM/PCM) detects that the camshaft’s position differs from the position that the computer expects during camshaft phase changes.
Note: some definitions have a P000B Code as Bank-2. Be sure to follow your manufacturer code definition)
Possible Causes of a P000B Code:
Low or Dirty Engine Oil (Wrong Oil)
Bad VVT Components (Solenoid, Oil Control Valve, Actuator/Phaser)
Bad Timing Chain or Timing Belt
Bad Timing Chain Tensioner
Bad Computer (ECM/PCM)
