Just picked up the game on Amazon at reasonable price. Very fun plus we went to Portugal last year and toured the Tile Museum.

Azul is really fun! We like the whole series, or at least the ones we have played so far. Did you decide to go ahead and get it? Catan is not for everyone. I guess you can't like every game!

Hello from Korea :) I really wanted to play this with my husband. So I borrowed this game from online. And I searched with "azul playthrough" then found your video. This video is really helpful for us. So thank you! Galai, congrat you won this game! haha!! Actually when we played this for the first time today, my husband often made mistakes,(put the tile wrong place, didn't get all the same tiles from the one plates like that) then I said Don't cheat!!!!! hahaha😂😂😂 Thanks for the video!

Well played! I play mostly wargames, but pick up a "euro game" every now and then, mainly to play with the family. I have considered one of the Azul games, since they are easy enough for my 10 year old - just not sure my non-gamer wife can handle them...

Thank you SIrbrastias. I think that the original Azul would be easiest and most fun for your 10 year old. Forbidden Island is a nice cooperative game that might work too, and you might also look into Carcassonne. Haha - hopefully your non-gamer wife might be able to handle them too! Which war games are you into?

@@AllAboardBoardgames Thanks. My daugther and I have played Carcassonne, Terraforming Mars, Spirit Island, Robinson Crusoe and a few others. Now, I'm looking at "the Azuls", Sagrada, Roll Player etc. My wife won't stray far from Ticket to Ride though, so I envy you a little... I'm a long time gamer, so I've played hundreds of games. Favourite wargames are pretty much anything by John Butterfield, but there are many I like. I've listed a bunch on BGG (as "Brastias").

@@SIrbrastias Wow! Your daughter is well able for heavier games! In that case, I would recommend that you go for Azul Summer Pavilion. It has an extra layer of depth to it, but still not complicated. The colours and designs look great, though the scoreboard is a bit flimsy. Still it is a great game and if your wife gives it a go maybe she would like it. For another really good abstract game, you might look at Santorini. It looks great and is really fun. It can be played up to 4 players, but it is best with 2, but your daughter might enjoy that one too. I am very lucky that Glai is into board games too. She likes the deeper ones, especially Terraforming Mars, Scythe and Le Havre etc but also lighter ones such as the Azuls, Codenames (probably not so light!) etc.
