That was an AWESOME vlog... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐... THANKS for sharing! I applaud your courage for returning... it simply had to be done! 👏 It's incredible how surviving the bad times turns one into a "better" version of themselves! As always... the videos make the viewer feel like they are right on the dive! Clownfish and Anemone 👍 TORTUGAS (my favorite ocean critter) 👍👍 Lionfish 👍 SHARKS 👍 Drift dives in challenging currents 👍👍 NIGHT DIVES (where the ocean comes alive) 👍👍👍 Komodo looks amazing... maybe one day I will tear myself away from Baja ☀🌵 and pay a visit! Do some scuba, windsurfing, exploring, dancing and partying... all the usual boring stuff! 🤣 Hasta la Vista...

When I was there Dec 2022; I was told that we cannot use reef hooks or gloves in the park. It did make those drift dives harder.
@AzulUnlimited6 ай бұрын
Yeah I don’t usually use them. I find that people end up breaking the reef more bc they’re not as careful where they grab on. I will say, they were helpful for people who were nervous and/or struggled with the current. A sort of emotional support reef hook🤣
@robertng1386 ай бұрын
We got yelled from other boat DM Abt using hook, perhaps our boat DM didn't know about the new rule.( That was October 2022), Heading back on coming October NEW Moon!
@AzulUnlimited6 ай бұрын
@@robertng138 Yeah, when I ran my shop there, it wasn't allowed, but it seems the rules relaxed after the country re-opened. The DM on this liveaboard was the one who placed the hooks, so at least there was some discernment in where they were used.

Picture this ... From the peak of Padar Island, two of you on a hang glider and one of you does a "hang-glider" stride onto the water from approx. 150m. Anyway, those currents are too strong for me right now. I am currently happy with Nusa Penida's drift dive (just came back a week ago). This financial year resolution as per your intro: Fitness and Meditation. The rest of Indonesia (except Bali) is on the table for next year !! What I've learnt from my trip is having the awareness of how much junks dive gears I brought overseas. Perhaps, renting a pair of fins (for free) from the dive center isn't a bad idea considering that my Jetfins are heavy and a dive center always have 'seasoned' multiple sizes fins (OMS/ Scubapro), renting the dSMB + reel, swapping my rubber hoses to a flex ones, and leaving your SPGs at home (the two transmitters never failed me). Another thing I've learnt is to test your regulators on the tanks before leaving the shore (I had a couple of dive that I had to use just 1 tank because the one DIN one can't fit). Anyway, love your videos; can't wait for your next adventure 😀 Love all the way from NZ.

I’m expecting Komodo currents to be a bit like Palau - which was a blast to dive 😁

Komodo currents can be intense. Palau's currents tend to be a bit more predictable. But can be really fun!

LGBTQ dive trip! Are you serious? Why? In my opinion when specific groups are solely catered for , this is what reinforces divisions.
@AzulUnlimited6 ай бұрын
It gives people a safe space and the opportunity to create community with people who have a shared life experience. This is a way to open scuba to people who might not feel included or safe otherwise. Nothing but love here 🙏

When you live in a world that caters to you it’s easy to see this as exclusionary. And it is. It’s exclusionary in the same way queer people are excluded from equal rights globally. As a queer person I’m super excited for this experience and cannot wait to be in a safe and kind environment learning how to dive with other queer divers. Not everything is for you. That’s okay. You’ll get over it.
