Some of the VAs in To Love Ru Darkness are also in Azur Lane. Most notably here is Misato Fukuen who was their guest in this livestream. She voices Yami/Golden Darkness in TLRD and Ibuki in Azur Lane. No Mikan?! Boooooo! Come on man, she's one of the most popular girls (and one of my favourites) and you leave her out? This had better get a rerun with her in it. At least Mafia-san has my back. And overall, I concur with the rest of the comments that a lot of the skins feel weirdly tame. It's understandable that fanservice is lighter with, say, the Gridman collab. But To Love Ru? You'd expect it to be at the same level as Dead or Alive, full of swimsuits or something. But even the Ryza skins feel riskier. Missed chance, outside of the Momo and Yami skins anyways. So yeah...my hype for the collab is a little less now, not gonna lie. And I certainly won't be picking up every skin now. Oh well, their loss.

My thoughts: I predicted LaLa would be a SSR and in the vanguard. I thought that she would have more of a drone mechanic, similar to Laffey II or Fargo, since she is an inventor/tinkerer and has Peke as a robotic companion. Yami/Darkness as a BB was also one I was predicting. I was also saying that she will probably have the highest HP of all the girls. MoMo was not a surprise, due to her popularity, though having her in the Event Shop caught me of guard. Sairenji-Chan as an elite was what I expected, as her popularity has waned over the years (MoMo has definitely overshadowed her). NaNa was a surprise, as she was the least popular of the three sisters. I remember her with shorter hair in the anime, but I have not watched the recent season, so that may have changed. She did get one of the better skins, IMHO. Getting Yui over Mikan was definitely a shock to me. Not because of how I feel about Mikan, as I am NOT into bro-cons, but because I know that Mikan is way more popular. Even Mafia-San was disappointed, LOL. I figured Mikan would be a CVL with a heal. I also thought that she would be the accumulation award. And, hopefully, some of the equipment is beneficial.

Very disappointed Mikan didn't make it in, but at least they have Yui. I'm surprised they had Haruna, since I remember reading that she's kind of in the background for Darkness, which is why I would've expected Mikan to take her place.

the base character look really good. best girl Yui is there, so the event is a win. would have liked one of the teachers too. Yami has... grown. but the skins... look absolutly boring. especially when you know what to-love-ru and azur lane are... and then these ultra tame skins. no dynamik, no l2d, no spcial function like the Senren Kagura skins. again some kind of pjyama skins, like Ryza event, but not as good. a big step back. will only buy Yui skin, because Yui.

Remember to stick to using build tickets first for Musashi. We get a lot of them, and no reason to burn resources if you can nab Musashi off of those until closer to the end of the event! Good luck!

It's been ages since I've watched To Love-Ru but definitely don't mind seeing this collab which beats some other IPs that I'm either not familiar with or have absolutely zero interest in (like Chainsaw Man for Nikke, was an easy pass for me). Now if either Azur Lane or Nikke would do a High School DxD, KonaSuba or even a Nekopara collab that would be awesome. Anyways. the skins seem a bit underwhelming to me but the best part of the video was the figure previews...I'm definitely getting that New Jersey figure after seeing the preview, the mesh top is a nice touch. The Kearsarge figure is nice as well but space for my growing figure collection is limited.

Everyone saying they're upset about the skins but you have to remember that the girls themselves are overtly lewd, other then maybe Momo or Run. All the lewd situations are usually a result of Rito's bad luck. Like is this was High-school DxD then I would understand everyone's disappointment but that isnt the case here

Mikan is one omission that I know had a pretty big fanbase. She wasn't one of my favs, but I do know there's going to be some disappointment about that. I do feel like it could be ripe for a part 2 if this one goes smoothly. Gridman's rerun had sleepwear skins, so it does seem to be a general theme with some collabs.

Man I don’t think AL has had a single collab I’ve enjoyed in the last 6 years. Maybe because I’m not the biggest anime watcher, but I haven’t seen a SINGLE anime/game etc that they’ve collabed with, so it’s hard to get excited for it.
