Great tutorial... I used a different sized yarn and needles. So I just grabbed another tie and measured off that, I didn't bother counting the exact amount of stitches, coz it wouldn't have worked. Love this pattern. My first time trying this stitch. It's 👍 Thanks for sharing with us

Your teaching is so clear! I’m going to try this and gift it to a missionary serving in New York.

I love the tie, is it possible to make it wider just by adding a few stitches at the beginning?

Have you ever used color pooling yarn for this pattern?

Negative. I bet it would look awesome though!

The yarn is called Woolike, it’s a size 1 fingering yarn. The hook is 4 mm.

I’ve tried starting this again and again, and when I finish the first row of return passes, my crocheting is curved downward. I’m keeping my stitches reasonably loose. What am I doing wrong?
@ModeBespoke8 ай бұрын
🤔 are you referring to the curl? If you send me a photo, I can take a look and we can work through it. Atenas@mode.bespoke.com

I started curling too, so watched the tutorial again, make sure on the last stitch, you stick in to the vertical bar, not the top stitch, that’s where I was stuffing it up

Everything about this is perfect and I love the yarn color. I think I'm done with knitting needles.

😊 thank you! Sadly, I’m not a knitter. I think I’ll have to try it sometime. It seems like fun!

Hi! Thank you for the video tutorial it is very helpful, just wondeirnh how long does it take to finish this one tie?
@ModeBespoke2 жыл бұрын
Can’t give you a specific time frame as it depends on several factors. It takes me anywhere between 8-12 hours for a tie, but even that’s just an estimate.

@@ModeBespoke one more follow up question , for the yarn your are using as demonstration, is it thicker then the finished one or the same size ?
@justananotherambivert23234 ай бұрын
Hi, may I know how much yarn did you use for the project?
@ModeBespoke3 ай бұрын
It was about 300 yards (25 g) of fingering, size 1 yarn

@@ModeBespoke 300 yards would be about 100 grams of yarn, not 25.

May I ask what yarn you are using please?
@ModeBespoke2 жыл бұрын
Woolike, it’s by a company called Loops and Threads and is available at Michael’s stores in the US. Otherwise, any #1 fingering yarn will work, though I would recommend to use a synthetic fiber one to make the tie softer (cotton makes it too stiff to tie).

Any chance you can make a tie with the traditional point at the start and end? I want to crochet ties for the men in my wedding to match my crochet wedding dress. I love the texture if this tie so much!

Mode Bespoke i tried it out by starting with a chain 3 and then a pearl stitch in row 1 and adding a yarn over at the beginning and end and it does not look to bad but i am not sure if it is correct.
@ModeBespoke4 жыл бұрын
Oh excellent! Then this will (hopefully) make sense: Depending on how sharp a point you want, work decreases every-other row. For a sharper point, work them in every row. Decrease: skip the first and second vertical stitch, then work the purl and simple stitch pattern until you reach the last vertical stitch. Skip the last vertical stitch, and cast on into the final (end) stitch. Let me know how it works out for you. And congratulations!! Being married is way fun! 😁
