Sir, as we know by default outbound traffic to the internet is allowed and when we check “what is my IP” in the internet we found a public IP and we have not created and attached any NAT Gateway. From where the IP is assigned?

Nice I have azure vm with node running which will connect supabase with its url ..... Nginx,with lets encrypt used for https , And i am facing network latency issue inside vm also. If i give curl to my api inside vm also its slow....why???? If i used my local machine with supabase its superfast... But on vm its slow?

Just a question, in Inbound rules you already have Vnet to Vnet Allow any port any traffic. then why RDP will not work until you specify it

Hi, I have a question here. In outbound rules 65001, the default rule allows traffic going to the internet but in rule 65500, all outbound traffic is denied. These two rules are not conflicting with each other? One rule says traffic going to the internet is allowed and another rule is denying traffic to the internet. Can you please explain it a bit more here.

I believe this is the difference - the outbound rule for internet allows access to public internet only (here destination is public internet). The next rule applies for all public services including azure public services like storage, az sql. So by default while you will be able to access public internet, you will not be able to access azure public services. That is why they use the service tag internet which DO NOT include Azure public service IPs. If the any to any rule had higher priority than any to Internet then even google would get blocked. Hope this helps.

In this scenario the rule which is having high priority will take place. Mean the one which is having lowest value will get the high priority. So in this case 65001 will take place allowing the traffic going to the internet.
