Glad you liked it. Thanks for your support. We choose offline migration when you have downtime and online migration when you dont have downtime.

Really great presentation, explained very well with everything!!! How we can migrate existing on-prem User and windows logins which are AD accounts to Managed Instance? I can see in my MI database AS login as red cross so wondering need current logins?

why are you firstly upload the DB and the LOG to azure storage container? Are there some advantages instead of just uploading it by the Azure data studio? Nice tutorial btw :)

I manually copied over the backups as I used tsql to restore the backup on the MI.
