Hey great vids man keep it up! A question around FSlogix and multi-Connections, we have multiple VM (App dependant) across multiple Host pools. Remote Apps are deployed from these multiple Host Pools. Using VHDx and mode 3, would this actually take care of a seamless user profile experience?

I recently went down a rabbit hole on this. Changing the profile to allow multiple connections will provide one read/write session, any other connection is read only. I explored using Citrix profile service with FSLogix and it may work, but it's not real time. The synchronization takes place after users log off.

You deleted the master image, so when you need to update the OS & Apps, what do you do? Can you re-create a Master Image from that template? can you update a host pool or do you have to delete & re-create? if you have 80-users, do you have to comma separated and paste into that little box?

I know its been a while but this may help someone... In this case you will have to recreate the host pool with the new and updated image. You may want to consider using templates to ease the work. Cheers!

Hey Travis, any experience with hosting the FSLogix folder in Azure Files? I am experiencing about a 5-8 min delay from login to Windows splash screen and am thinking Azure Files is not the right container for these profiles

FSLogix mounts the user profile disk to the Session Host at login. It doesn’t copy the profile to the local machine like other profile management utilities. Any network latency to the file share and performance bottlenecks on the file share will impact the users experience. I recommend keeping the file share (Server or Azure Files) as close to the Session Hosts as possible.

I have both in the same US East region, even tried a Premium Storage Account, same experience. Strangely enough, disabling “App Readiness” service got Windows fixed the slow login issue, but causes other issues with Microsoft Apps such as Outlook and Edge..

How do you do this but not have the entire foslogix container copy to the local VDA\server?

It doesn't copy the container, it redirects to the container location on the network share. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/overview#key-capabilities

If you're still having this issue, check to make sure that the user account which is accessing the desktop is set under assignments for the respective application group. The user also needs the role assignment of Virtual Machine Administrator Login or Virtual Machine User Login for the subscription.
