Jingyuan voicelines about Bailu stating that he hoped that Bailu is happy in "this lifetime". So Bailu is really most likely Baiheng's reincarnation. Transmutation Arcanum that Dan Feng and Yingxing did did not completely failed. Because Bailu was being born from it and Dan Feng was trying to make Bailu the next High Elder no matter what.

I think she's the reincarnation of Dan Feng's ancestor that he used when he created that abomination. So many characters keep insisting that Dan Heng is Dan Feng, while Blade and Jingliu keeps saying that Baiheng is gone. It won't make sense for them to say it if she reincarnated as Bailu. Added to the fact that Dan Feng and Blade shouldn't have their sins if she ended up being fine.

Another interesting fact is that Bailu only started dreaming after she boards the train, she says she dreamt of adventure and soaring high and we all know Bai Heng was one of trailblazers before the current gen lead by Himeko.

@@damianw5861 The sin is overrated, because if Dan Feng was successful, he won't be called a criminal at all. And it wasn't his intention to make an abomination, it was said in Jingliu's character story that the *preceptors* told him that *combining his DNA and the soul of his ancestor* should have created a high elder, not an abomination. The preceptors envy and wants to control him, they want a weak puppet, not a strong leader, they planted that idea in his head to dispose of him.

What a great hint that bailu = baiheng, why else that both blade and jingliu would randomly visit bailu. Also the final line of jingliu toward bailu being "more than medicine" is enough of a confirmation(personal headcanon for me). If bailu is indeed baiheng then i guess baiheng luck still presist till the end. Because she manage to be reborn again.

If you look at baiheng, you can see similarity between her and bailu, both has purple hair, at the end of bailu tail also fluffy like foxian tail, bailu has dream of flying that make her always cry, baiheng loves to fly, she was a pilot

jingyuan would visit her from time to time too using medical checkup as an excuse. he would bring her all kind of different food (presumably baiheng favorites) and ask her questions like how is her health? how has she been eating? have she had any dreams lately? (maybe to find out if she finally remember her past life prior to the botched experiment) etc.

If Bailu is indeed Baiheng reincarnation. Then technically in the Phantylia Eco of War. You can use the High Cloud Quintet heroes or as I like to call them, the Xianzhou Avengers in their hey day. 1. Jingliu (DPS) 2. Blade / Yingxing (DPS) 3. Jing Yuan (Support) 4. Imbibitor Lunae (Support) 5. Bailu / Baiheng (Healer)

Just to note the original Quintet roles were likely Jingliu (DPS) (stay at minimum furtherest range from her on advance or you will receive friendly fire) Bai Heng (DPS) (beware flaming arrows and falling starskiffs. You will likely see more Starskiffs) Jing Yuan (Support) (wrote the as seen note for Jingliu for fellow cloud knight use, after trial and error experimenting the furthest minimum range to not become a frozen corpse of course) Yingxing (Support) (most definitely boasted to the Luofu High Elder of the record setting artillery completion he will have by the end of the battle) Dan Feng (DPS/Healer)(was there to patch up Jing Yuan’s experimenting after flooding the enemy alive)

This is just my thoughts from everything I read and seen in game. After Baiheng to saving Dan Feng. Dan Feng and Yingxing took Baiheng and tried to resurrect her. This cause a destructive blast that created a dragon monster. This is where Yingxing became immortal. Where Jingliu fought and beat it. She did not kill it and instead said she was sorry to it. It is hinted at that Not only was Dan Feng was forced into rebirth but so did the dragon monster. Which spawned Bailu. Which is why Dan Feng named her as his replacement. As in to give his power to his old friend. I think this is also where Jingliu started to be effected by Mara. Learning the fate of her friend most likely drove her mad. Out of 5, 3 most pay the price. Who are the 5? The High-Cloud Quintet. Who are the 3 that must pay the price? Dan Feng, Blade and Jingliu. What is their crime? Creation of Bailu. All the members of the Quintet knows Bailu is the reborn Baiheng. They all very much care for their friend. This is why they where able to get together one last time. It a sad story really. Also why does blade first say the line "Out if 5, 3 most pay a price?" Well from what I am guessing. Jingliu tried killing Blade. Over and over again. When she could not. She trained him in the ways of the blade. So that he could kill Dan Feng and maybe her one day. She taught him this line. She is the one who wants him to kill Dan Feng.

We also say it when they introduced Blade to the story. Where he told Jing Yuan he is not one of the 3. We also learn that Jingliu hates her self for being Marastruck.

I hate the voice inflection of Jingliu. like she’s about to do something sinister every time she completes a phrase or a sentence. I wish it was voiced in a conversational way, and that inflection would be more subtle or placed in certain situation that requires it

I think it’s that she’s teetering on the edge of sanity due to being Mara-struck. Blade has to worry less because of Kafka’s spirit whisper. I do sort of dislike it, and prefer he battle voice lines where she lets loose. You can also hear this type of voice back in the Master and Pupil trailer for Jing Yuan.

@@matthewbailey1179 Didn't the game explicitly say that Bailu was the byproduct of Imbibitor Lunae's botched rebirth, which was an entirely separate event from Baiheng's botched resurrection? Also, how would Bailu get half of Imbibitor's power prior to said rebirth? There has been no mechanism established by which a Foxian could become a Vidyadara (that word is a nightmare to spell), and it would also mess up the timeline. I think Jingliu and Blade just wanted to see Bailu because she represents half of Imbibitor Lunae.

@@flarpo11 no, that's what the Viyadhara wanted the rest to believe. The truth was Dan Feng and Yinxing, in their grief, attempted to revive Baiheng by mixing her body (or at least, what's left of it) into a Viyadhara egg. This essentially means they are overriding the Viyadhara (whoever it was) and creating an abomination, something Dan Feng was accused of. That abomination of course, is Bailu. They also used Abundance shenanigans in the process, causing Blade's immortality, and of course, Killing a Viyadhara by overriding it's genetics is probably a heretical sin that caused Dan Feng's forced rebirth. The other reason why the Viyadhara are now so protective and strict with Bailu is because Bailu is, and this is gonna sound so weird given Bailu's age, fertile. Dan Feng already was researching for a way to allow Viyadhara to reproduce and bolster their already low numbers, and this was a good excuse for it. Baiheng mixing with a Viyadhara overrides the genes stopping the Viyadhara from reproducing. Although, from what I can assume, the Viyadhara don't want this because their blood gets diluted and their race, when mixed with others, will get weaker and weaker overtime compared to a full Viyadhara.

Well.. 1. Jingyuan hoping her being happy in "this lifetime" as if Jingyuan really knows her before reincarnation. And Jingyuan keeps visiting her regularly(in one of Bailu's character stories) for medical check-up although he always don't have any illness to begin with. Also Jingyuan always bring her snacks and asking her about her health and about has she been dreaming lately? Because Vidyadhara be able to remember their past life from dreaming. 2. The name Bailu and Baiheng stands like Dan Heng and Dan Feng. Meaning, they are different person but from the same reincarnation. 3. After we finished Bailu's story quest and met her in Express. She was dreaming that she was a tall woman and she was travelling all across spaces. After she woke up, she ended crying with not knowing the reason. She was like travelling, like a Foxian do. Baiheng was also a foxian. 4. Sometimes, Jing Liu would trying to see Bailu with Preceptors permissions. Why? With those facts alone makes peoples think that Bailu = Baiheng and we only needs the confirmation.

It's confirmed. So yingxing and danfeng used the remain of shuhu to revive Baiheng => it failed and created a half fox half dragon Monster => jingliu killed the monster and they put it in an egg. Then that egg birthed Bailu It's an old information, everyone know Bailu is baiheng since Danheng IL quest
