Okay let me get this straight Jing Yuan saw his own master and all his friends basically go corrupt. Dan Feng committed a sin in an attempt to revive Baiheng (i think?), and was forcefully reincarnated as Dan Heng Blade assisted Dan Feng (or IL Idfk) in the revival, thus resulting in his immortality, and “death” by Jingliu, before becoming mara-struck Jing Liu became mara-struck, resulting in being murdered by Jing Yuan. And Bailu is Baiheng but reincarnated godfamn this group is depressed

If it's any consolation, Jingliu isn't dead. She managed to survive and wandered the stars before returning to the Laofu to essentially face the music. But yeah, you're pretty much right. It's also worth noting that Dan Feng was also imprisoned, where he was tortured. He also had his horns and scales forcibly torn from his body. When he was reborn, he mostly lost his memories, but they still remain, as somewhat of a fuzzy haze. Dan Heng sort of remembers some events, but not always in great detail. Also, Bailu isn't the reincarnation of Baiheng. Bailu was specifically chosen by Dan Feng to be his successor in the ritual, but the ritual failed and his power was split between Dan Heng and Bailu. As a result of what Dan Feng did, Jingliu kinda hates him. She still sort of sees him as her old friend, but she also very clearly resents him as she wants his sins to continue to haunt him. As for Yingxing/Blade, the flesh of Shuhu (the creature they fought that caused Baiheng's death) was used in the attempt to revive her, but his involvement caused the revival to backfire, turning him immortal. He chanced upon Jingliu, who "trained" him, also killing him several times in the process. "Of five people, three must pay the price."

It's amazing how he's the only one who managed to remain sane after everything that's happening, be it as a general or as an individual. The friends he once knew don't exist anymore, even if they're actual in front of him now. And knowing that he's really old in Loufu standards, it's no wonder he wanted to test Fu Xuan first during the stellaron crisis so that he knows that he's choosing the right person as next general. And from the short animated film, it can be implied that Jing probably trained Yanqing in preparation if one day he succumb to Mara.

I feel so bad for Jing Yuan because he's the only sane or normal remaining member who's pretty much the same self as he was when he was close friends with them. But for other members, they have all either forgotten, moved on or gone insane so their memories of the group's time together won't affect them in the same way maybe. But for Jing Yuan, since he's still the same, he must remember a lot of their memories together so to see all his friends the way they are now as compared to how it used to be.....it must be hard for him. It must feel like getting left behind in a sense, he must be lonely 😭😭

The quintet story is so good. It was interesting to learn that relationship between Blade and Jingliu was rather complicated, that she did not just abuse him for no reason like I thought before. And as much as I love Blade and I want all the best for him, I dont think I would be sad if he died. Like sure, in a way I would be because I love him but he deserves peace. This is what he wants. Everyone here did a great job voice acting, especially Blade and Jinglius VAs. I love Jingliu voice so much.

Blades immortality feels a lot like Captain Jack Harkness’s immortality from Doctor Who. They die for a moment, but I’m Mostly talking about from how they seem to return from death, it’s always followed by a loud gasp. It’s scary close, though the differences are there, Jacks immortality is due to becoming a semi fixed point in time, but without that fixed point ever being specified, due to Rose, meaning death is inescapable from him, but he remains fully capable of keeping memories. While with Blade it’s not the case, as the relic set about him heavily implies each and every death and rebirth his memory slips more and more.

I have this one oc from Honkai impact who used to be a part of a group of 5 (made up story, not actuall lore) Amar Satoshi along wither sister, Hinata grew up alone. That was when Hineko Murata and Fu Hua and Kiarah (oc) found them. After enrolling into St. Freya, Amar saw Hua and Kiarah as big sisters, but for Himeko a mother. The 5 took a group photo however one time and they were happy... it didn't last long... Kiarah died and ended up having Blade's fate. Becoming a shadow chasing after a specific person. Amar... Himeko past awayed at final lesson. Like Baiheng, there is no garantee she will come back Fu Hua died but came back but in a way ended up like Jingliu Hinata, Amar's big sister sacrifised herself to save amar from the herrscher of reality (made up) persona and died but reincarnated like dan heng. But unlike dan heng, she is still the same hinata And finally Amar, like Jing Yuan, she is the only one left (excluding Fu Hua). The one who hasen't been killed. However, she emphesythes more with dan heng because she knows how it feels to be hated. When your friends are your only home. When you try to be yourself, not what other see you orriginally. And being chased... for a pointless reason... Blade is after Dan Feng but I think he was unaware he already died

Yes. From what I understand Baiheng was like the center, the heart of the group. But her lore wasn't explained well. We can understand why Yingxing couldn't accept her death, because he met her first and probably the one who made him went to Luofu from Zhuming. She was his dear friend. As for Dan Feng's reason, yup stupid. I can understand if it was Yingxing. He was his closest friend. They spent many nights together and even had paired telepathic bracers and jade pendants. But no it was Baiheng. We only know that they're on the same group and she died to save him, Jingliu, and the rest of them. We don't know how close they were, probably close enough to revive her. Still it's weird. Feel like poor writing here. Hoyo didn't write her story well. She should be the most important character, yet players know almost nothing about her. All we know that she was pilot who cheated on death many times, a bosom friend of Yingxing (who was closest friend of Dan Feng), a dear friend of Jingliu. Jingliu's sin is more stupid for me. Yes she was guilty of killing many of her men because of mara, but her sin here is like forced to fit the other two's crime. Blade's repentence.... when he asked why they did that to her, why her the one who died.... is off but still acceptable.

Did you even listen to the quest at all... She's turning herself in to the Xianzhou Alliance. The entire quest was just JL asking to spend a day to meet up with old friends (High Cloud Quintet) before she was sent to the Shackling Prison.

Also i find it very weird for Jingliu to come back into luofu only simply to surrender as in the luocha + jingyuan cutscene she mentions she wants to eradicate the abundance

there is a little wrong here, jing yuan is strongest out of the 5, in jingliu's voiceline she conveys that jing yuan achieved success when he had no natural talent, and to a master a success is when they surpass them, jing yuan is very smart, that even jinliu acknowledges a lot, she said in the quest, that, " jing yuan you haven't changed at all, trying to destroy the plans of other" well that obvious as he is the divine foresight, but jing yuan defeated jingliu which is why she fled to different world, knowing the xianzhou is in good hands now. so strongest in jing yuan>jingliu>dan feng>blade>dan heng(since his powers are now gone, his horns were taken away now)
