She's mean, but she's an interesting character. I think a lot of people misinterpret her. Fun in HSR is like art, everyone expresses themselves in their own approach. Sparkle use fun to reflection and consideration. Sparkle uses fun to encourage others to reflect and think. She exaggerates what irritates her. She is sometimes brutal and mean, sometimes childish, but I think with good intentions. The entire Sampo and Fairyfly arc is actually a Sparkle and Fairyfly arc. Sparkle was following the MC in the disguise of Sampo (that's why she didn't recognize March 7th, because to imitate someone she needs to have enough data + the next time we meet her, she confirms that we shouldn't disappoint her as she told us). She wanted to show the MC how many wolves are around us, and we are the only ones unaware. She has a negative attitude towards Aventurine because she doesn't like IPC (maybe we'll find out the reason), plus Aventurine's character doesn't make him easy to trust. But by provoking him, she also forces him to rethink his side (as we know, Aventurine should rather be against IPC than work for them). She probably has quite extensive knowledge about him (e.g. she knows that he also had connections with Taverna). There are many analogies in this chapter that seem chaotic and illogical when played. Everyone has their own purpose for coming there. The only question is who discovers which comic character. I have the impression that Watchmaker is the Boss Stone who took the treasure aka stellaron.
