It's loose flesh membranes. I don't think Vaal can fly with those wings. but when I see monsters like these I just think. How, just how do these monster move around I mean have you seen Zenith hyujikiki's spikes they're huge or Zenith Rathalos those spike must be dragging when he's flying.

kanuckels Enchiladas Vaal can fly when u mount him. Zenith monsters have a special body part that evolves over time. Im this case Toridos wings and hyujis back. Rarely find any MH monster to be realistic so this is not a problem. Have you seen Zenith Toris concept art. Looks better than ingame.

Frontier is meant to be a difficult challenge with ridiculous creatures. Logic is completely thrown out when it comes to this game.
