@@AFaceintheCrowd01 It wasn’t gambling that was so much the issue. B.B. was born at a time when entertainers made so much less. Just literally Pennie’s a record. He only saw any real money later in Life. What he needed was good professional financial advice. Musicians at that time relied on their personal managers to look after their money too, even if the personal manager wasn’t a financial professional! The contracts back then were especially onerous. Stevie Wonder gave his manager, a lawyer, 50 percent of all his earnings as long as that manager lived, for Life! WTF? When that manager passed ao😊way, his wife went to court to sue and have the contract continue until she died! The court denied her request Thankfully. Elvis signed a similar contract 50 percent of all of his earnings for LIFE with the Man known as the “Cornel” imagine 50% of your earnings gone before you have even paid Taxes! No wonders these guys weren’t worth a Hundred Million dollars when they died! While B.B. may have gambled, yet the real reason he wasn’t worth $100 Million when he died, he was being leached off of by bad contracts, by people by who were stealing his money. The as well as his lawyers, and record companies were stealing from B.B. Elvis, and Stevie.
