B.Ed Distance Education Eligibility
The eligibility criteria of distance B.Ed program is different from a regular B.Ed course. The eligibility criteria of B.Ed distance education course is as below:-
The aspiring students must possess 50% marks in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in arts, science, commerce, or engineering stream in order to be eligible to apply for distance B.Ed course.
Who can Apply for B.Ed Distance Program
The individuals who have completed a teacher education program recognized by NCTE in a face-to-face mode are also eligible to apply for the B.Ed Distance program.
The individuals trained in-service teachers in elementary education.
The individuals who have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in primary or secondary schools.
B.Ed Distance Learning
Q: What is B.Ed distance program?
A: B.Ed courses are designed to develop a deep understanding of the teaching-learning process at secondary and higher secondary levels. Candidates willing to take up teaching as their profession must have a B.Ed degree.
Q: Is B Ed from distance education valid?
A: Yes, B.Ed distance education is valid when done from a recognized university.
Q: Can B.Ed distance courses be done online?
A: Although, professional B .Ed through distance education cannot be completed online, however, candidates with a minimum 2 years of teaching experience (who passed D.Ed diploma) can do online or correspondence.
Q: What is the duration of B.Ed distance courses?
A: Generally, the B.Ed distance/correspondence program is for two-years.
Q: Why B.Ed degree is mandatory for teachers?
A: The main aim of B.Ed courses is engaging students-teachers to acquire necessary competencies for organizing learning experiences, developing an understanding of paradigm shift in conceptualizing disciplinary knowledge in school or college curriculum.
Q: What are the most important skills required for B.Ed distance learning?
A: These are the skills must be possessed by the candidates willing to joining B.Ed program, good Communication skills, empathy, good organisational skills, critical thinking ability, enthusiasm, patience, confidence, quick learner etc.
Q: What is the maximum time period of completing B.Ed distance courses?
A: The duration of B.Ed correspondence/distance learning is 2 years and the students will be given a maximum of five years to complete the course.
Q: Who can pursue B.Ed distance programs?
A: Any individuals holding teacher education program recognized by NCTE in a face-to-face mode are also eligible to apply for the B.Ed Distance program. Apart from this, individuals with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in primary or secondary schools.
Q: Is there any difference between B.Ed regular and correspondence curriculum?
A: The curriculum of the B.Ed distance learning program is very similar to the regular B.Ed program. The topics taught in both the programs are almost similar.
Q: Do I need to attend classes in B.Ed distance program?
A: In most of the courses, candidates have to attend a few classes, however, rest of the program can be completed distantly.
Q: Are B.Ed distance learning programs recognized by NCTE?
A: Yes, B.Ed distance program offered by IGNOU or other leading institutes are recognized by NCTE. Candidates will receive a valid degree after completion of the course.

Universities like Kurukshetra are recognized by NCTE and are offering B.Ed. through Regular Mode only. The thing is the agent/middleman mediate and extort money from students-who cannot attend regular classes, for providing them the certificates. However, though illegal, the final certificate is of Regular degree. But the students do not gain knowledge pertaining to teaching.

@@balbirsingh8493 सब लीगल होता है और ड्यूटी के दौरान open university या distance से करिए जॉब के साथ non attending regular करोगे तो fasoge क्योंकि ये regular कोर्स होता है bihar हरियाणा up और बहुत सारे स्टेट में होता है प्रोफेसर ना होने के कारण इसीलिये class नहीं लगती लगतीं भी है तो महीने में 10 दिन बहुत जगह एसे ही होता है फैकल्टी की vacancy ना आने के कारण सब लीगल है ncte recognition है सबके पास university भी ugc और ncte approved होती है धन्यवाद आप मत करना क्योंकि regular degree कोर्स आर्मी में रहते हुए नहीं होती धन्यवाद
