This is a goodbye song to the good old days. Always played at the end of a concert.

This Song is not about a person, it is about the special time in their/our live. Time full of party, drinking, fighting, drugs and Rock'n Roll 😇 Sooner or later this time must end.... It would be nice if the journey continued with the Onkelz.Maybe the comeback concert 2014 at the Hockenheimring with classical music. Or the 2016 concert in Berlin with new songs. "Wo auch immer wir stehen", this is e.g. also a great song.

The first time I saw them live they closed the set with that song. It was so emotional for me I couldn’t stop crying. Those guys meant the world to me from the first time I heard them and I m more than thankful for every note every word they helped me in every hard situation that life had to offer for me.

Did you really believe in it? That time doesn't go on? Did you really believe in it? That everything revolves around you? They have done a lot of work And never learned anything new A lot of alcohol, a lot of women Removed from reality I like to remember that time A time you will never forget But I have to live my life, go my way alone Do it well, you have a good time See you later Have u really believed in it That time doesn't go on? Did you really believe in it? That everything revolves around you? It wasn't all gold that shone And yet, it was beautiful It wasn't all gold that shone You carry scars of time that never go away I like to remember that time A time you will never forget But I have to live my life Going my way alone Do it well, you have a good time See you later I like to remember that time A time you will never forget But I have to live my life, go my way alone Do it well, you have a good time See you later...

this band has a unique history in germany. From a punk band to a skin band and then to the rock band par excellence. even if many do not like it the onkelz have prepared the ground for rammstein and co. without them there would be these bands simply not in dioeser size. Neither Die Ärzte nor the Toten hosen would have had this potential. but unfortunately many only know their party songs or those where they celebrate and adulate themselves. but they are so much more. There is hardly a band that has written more songs about death, drugs, depression about life as it really is and anti nazi songs. The latter is especially important in the history of the onkelz. they reach these right-wing nutcases and have already pulled some back out of this right-wing swamp. Many say the onkelz are a way of life and that's true. because as it says so beautifully in a song We are not heard in passing We want everything or nothing we challenge you Look the truth in the face

This song is about them leaving the skinhead scene in the late 80s and the ending song at every concert. At that time, the scene has been more and more taken over by nazis, which pissed them off and at a certain point the Onkelz decided to get out of this scene. If you are interested in the history of the band, I would highly request the documentary which they released for their 40th (!) anniversary: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXjOeWWlqtl0grM English subtitel is avalable 😉

This song is a goodbye message to their past when they were Skinheads. At first they were Skinheads cuz of the lifestyle and how they dressed and the music but then Punks and Skins got too political punks far left skins far right so they were distancing from these people with this song saying it was a good time but they gotta move on and say goodbye to it all.
