I’ve always been under the impression that he understood English but couldn’t really speak it back then. I’m sorta thinking of that clip of iKON at a radio place where Hanbin’s on the floor holding Jiwon’s hand. He speaks in Korean while Jiwon translates every few sentences. Him collaborating with international artists forced him to step out of his comfort zone when it comes to English. He's always been good. But his pronounciation, i can tell it's also transformed.
