There is a difference in quality of service on Malaysia Airlines (Singapore too) and other airlines. In other airlines, if you ask for a service that is not scheduled or not within what they have prepared, they would say no. On Malaysia Airlines, if they could do it, and it's safe and legal to do it, they would say yes. They know they are on duty in their shifts, they should be working, not chit chatting in the crew areas. That's the difference between bad and good services. Other airlines do the minimal, good airlines whatever they could.
