Some time back, I was the mechanic that worked on his BMW, in arlington Texas, he was the first customer I ever had that would use his BMW as a pickup truck, there was always hay covered in the trunk of that car, I always wanted to do a duet of this song with him, but never got that chance, I love all of his songs. Thank you BJ for bringing that joy in my life.🤠🙏

@@appledoreman Youre probably right. In his case, BJ Thomas actually never sounded different singing gospel pop or country. He always put his heart and soul into whatever song he recorded and played in live concerts. Much like Elvis Presley, he excelled in different musical genres.
@thomasmarthinussen8978
@thomasmarthinussen8978 3 жыл бұрын
@@appledoreman Another 70s artist I admire is the great Herb Pedersen. A Bluegrass maestro and a banjo master. He rose to recognition in the late 60s as member of The Dillards. He was also a founding member of The Country Gazette and more prominently gained commercial success as member of Desert Rose Band in the 80s with companion and friend Chris Hillman. Herbs two solo albums for Epic in 1976/1977 are obscure but worth seeking out. Southwest from 1976 is a perfect album start to finish, more contemporary Soft Rock in style but enough of country and bluegrass to make it a winner.
