@thomasmarthinussen89783 жыл бұрын
@@appledoreman Youre probably right. In his case, BJ Thomas actually never sounded different singing gospel pop or country. He always put his heart and soul into whatever song he recorded and played in live concerts. Much like Elvis Presley, he excelled in different musical genres.
@thomasmarthinussen89783 жыл бұрын
@@appledoreman Another 70s artist I admire is the great Herb Pedersen. A Bluegrass maestro and a banjo master. He rose to recognition in the late 60s as member of The Dillards. He was also a founding member of The Country Gazette and more prominently gained commercial success as member of Desert Rose Band in the 80s with companion and friend Chris Hillman. Herbs two solo albums for Epic in 1976/1977 are obscure but worth seeking out. Southwest from 1976 is a perfect album start to finish, more contemporary Soft Rock in style but enough of country and bluegrass to make it a winner.
