I have watched many English learning tips videos like this to improve my English but there were all like “expose yourself to English more” or “ watch movies in English” I mean those are so true but they didn’t help me much to figure out what I really need to improve in the process of learning English. Thank you Jacob san, I think this video is one of the most effective videos I’ve ever seen.

I am a prospective undergraduate student for the upcoming year studying English. This video is really useful especially the part about the collocation dictionary. I can’t describe how much I appreciate this information. 英語と日本語も勉強中ので本当に助かられると思います。ありがとうございます!
This is the first time ever I commented on KZbin but I found that Jacob talked with looooots of adjectives in this video. That was super inspired and convinced. Thank you for sharing this video.
As someone who studied in the master of Applied Linguistics and TESOL in Australia, I completely understand how significant it is to learn function words, such as collocations, prepositions, and adjectives and so forth, in order to make ourselves just sound like a native speaker of English. Admittedly, there is no need for us to become fluent in the language just like native speakers. However, this can be one of the profound motivations for language learning, especially in a situation where we've been struggling to improve our language proficiency.
Well, BUT is not primarily a preposition like the others mentioned BUT a conjunction.

I'm sure he meant the prepositional "but" which means except but yes this word is used as a conjunction in most cases and I agree that it wasn't the best example. I personally liked his explanation anyway:)
