Béla Bartók - Rhapsody no. 1 | Amsterdam Sinfonietta

Bartók's Rhapsody no. 1 was based on the folk music from his home country: Hungary. It contains two movements: a Lassú and a Friss, names taken from the Hungarian csárdás, meaning 'slow movement' and 'fast movement'.
