B&LE SD38 pair chase from Conneaut to Greenville

Back in April 2024 we caught a Bessemer and Lake Erie train and chased them from Conneaut Ohio to Greenville PA. The first scene was pretty rushed, I figured we could hear the train at the crossing north of there but that turned out to not be the case.

Love this grade crossing with trains coming out of a 'tunnel' of buildings. This gives me some really good ideas for a troublesome section of layout.

My dad was born in Greenville pa and the b .l.e was called the bessmer bullet in the old days.1 we broke down next to 1 set of tracksi kidd you not.i was standing outside waking at the train and all i remember was the engine and then the caboose

Some great back alley shots plus the placement of the block signal between the rails of the disconnected tracks. Great way to kick off the year with the SD38s and apparently only two left in DMIR paint the one you photographed and one still on the Mesabi. Real Iron for 2025

Nice!! I finally got my own camcorder.. Is it normal for it to be focusing well in the cold? I notice it does that when I do the zoom out thing like you, it start randomly going out of focus sometimes. Hopefully it's just the weather.. Lol. I love the straight ahead view on that bridge

these look pretty ratty. they are probably headed for scrap soon with the federal diesel phase out mandates. fortunately most of the equipment on this train is free from graffiti. if it was out West everything would have layers of smut on it. thanks for posting a nice video.

Diesel Hybrid locos are not going anywhere. They cant just mandate out something that we rely on 100% for something that is a pipe dream for the extremists. Thats like saying that drinking water will be phased out soon. Modern diesels can be super clean burning.
