thank you for the video, it's a shame we can't put subtitles
@mnveloguy2 ай бұрын
@@Thibauddeves normally KZbin automatically generates subtitles. I’m not sure why that did not happen for this video.

@@Thibauddeves I just checked. If you click the CC button it activates subtitles. The button at least on mobile is in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Is there a size difference in the toe box area and also is there a width difference between the three?
@mnveloguy4 ай бұрын
@@danchaluejr no width difference, but there is an additional 2cm vertical space on the toe box with the 4More and Urban. I think I mentioned that, but maybe I forgot or it just got lost in the crush of information? It should be possible to fit larger feet, and for riders with more average shoe size, longer cranks. How long, I’m not sure yet.

Hello sir.. Do you know if there is a dealer near Toronto?
@mnveloguy4 ай бұрын
@@FrankReis-y8p there is unfortunately no dealer near Toronto. I believe there is an ambassador or two in Ontario with a Bülk MK1. I would be happy to put you in contact with them. I am able to ship to Toronto should you find a model I carry that is of interest to you. Feel free to contact e at info@northlandvelo.com for ambassador contact info and to discuss the ordering process.

That's what we all have waited for! :) Really good work and good comparisons and explanations between the different types of the Bülk! I am really happy with Bülk Urban 4, but I think I am the last person in my size, who fits in there (194cm). Best regards from Hungary!

I was baffled to hear that the closed Bülk offers more space for wieder front tyres. Overall a good overview. Unfortunately VelomobileWorld stops making the Dutch models. Always thought about a Snoek L, but that seems off the table now.

@@sebastiandomagala9233 What do you mean with "closed bülk"? Lets wait. Time will tell what will be with Snoek and Quattrevelo.

Can either use studded tires for winter?
@mnveloguy2 ай бұрын
@@darryljordan647 in the rear, yes. I have a studded tire on hand but have never needed to install it. I don’t believe a narrow enough tire exists in 406 to fit the urban and 4More. It would have to be 32mm or less, possibly closer to 28mm for spikes to not touch the wheel wells. In the mk1 it might work to put spiked tires up front. I think Andy Kariger was going to try that. I don’t recall his results though. I do know the Schwalbe 365 fits up front in the mk1. That has enough tread for winter. Frankly the rear tire is the more critical one anyway. I actually run slicks here in the winter up front and use a gravel tire in the rear. I have a video on this channel about tires. I think it’s titled Tire Talk.

Thank you for this comparison. I did however miss one piece of information that is important to me: audacity. Which velo is the most quiet one ond which one is the noiciest?
@mnveloguy3 ай бұрын
@@ericsandin3402 fiberglass usually runs quieter than carbon fiber. Urban and MK1 should be the same with 4More being a bit quieter.
@ericsandin34023 ай бұрын
@@mnveloguy Thank you. Do you know any velo that is remarkably quiet, compared to all others? I remember having heard one of the newer models being quiet/better insulated, but don't remember which, unfortunately.
@mnveloguy3 ай бұрын
@@ericsandin3402 that would have to be the 4More. The Bülks aren’t bad, but I guess it depends on what your definition of quiet is. I did once measure the decibels in the Bülk with racehood at 15mph and got around 70db. No velomobile is whisper quiet. If you’re concerned about noise, it’s best to wear earplugs. I tried that once, but I found it very unnerving to ride that way because I’m used to being able to hear the feedback from the road and traffic.
@ericsandin34023 ай бұрын
@@mnveloguy Thank you. I'm always using passive (no electricity) headphones while riding a road bike. Model "Windfree". They take away wind turbulence and makes it significantly easier to hear the cars. No point using them inside a race hood I guess. But without they would be a game changer if you haven't tried 'em.
