WOW! I've listened to SO may renditions of this song. I find most of them lacking any emotion put behind it. The Vanilla Fudge version is still my favorite, but this is now my #2. Most artists treat is as something that should ramble and spew. I love the way he starts it that way, but then progresses to add that emotional zing, and then fades back into the subdued style. Even though I still prefer the Fudge version, I think this is the best overall style I've heard of this masterpiece of music and lyrics.
