I had the bowers & wilkins px and returned them because of weight issue i now have the beoplay H4 and now they are here to stay..super happy with the sound and comfort...

You can use the H9 wired. Both the Sennheiser HD1 and B&O H9 are great. The Sony 1000X M2 get uncomfortable too fast .. vinyl not leather ear pads.

They have cow leather headbands and softer lamb leather on cups. The H7 and H9 have not only the bonus of replaceable battery , but you can also get replacement ear pads, you don’t get that with H4. However the H4 had a great stereo field when I tried them, sound really came from the shoulders.

Great review, I've been racking my brain for a few weeks now on what to get, H4's it is, the bonus is that there the cheapest, sucks you don't get a bag though, sad times 😉👌 I don't see the point of ANC, bit of a gimmick and don't feel the need, if you were to choose a headphone, which ones have blown you away? Sennheiser momentum or 6550's?

i have the h4 and i love them, i didn't like them at first, but after getting the app and modifying the sound to my liking... these headphones are great with amazing sound...personally my favourite out of all of them!

Agreed, as a basshead, I remember the H9 being the best. In fact, in the short time I was at the shop, I remember being repulsed by all the headphones other than the H9 and then I saw the price and I just laughed. Sound is awesome and fun, but they're just no where near worth the RRP - but is anything with B&O? They're a fashion company like Beats. Everything is horrendously expensive from them :) However, I've never seen anyone else offer a replaceable battery for their wireless headphones? Hopefully they will half the price one day so I can start recommending them to people :D

Hi Dimitri! Thank you for the great comparison. Between the H7 and H4 which one would you recommend? I am looking for nice sparkly sound with nice punchy bass. These are priced the same on Amazon because of prime discount. Just because of the same price and better design i am interested in the H7. The sound is quite similar as per your review. Is the bass on the H7 really low compared to the H4?

I own a pair of Beoplay H7, and I bought it several months ago and haven't used it at all since. This is because when I first tried it out, the bass was significantly more quiet than I expected, and as I try it again today, the bass does not outperform that of my 60$ plastic Sony headphones. I know that this isn't because I've overused the headphones.. So could it be a defect? or is it just the original design? I'm not sure because I have other B&O products(earphones) that have significantly better bass than Beoplay H7.

Hello Nitpicker, I have the Beyer T51i and M&D ME05 and looking something wireless to replace them. I tried the Audio Technica MX50BT which sounded not fun enough for me, the Sony 1000MX3 sounded better but it something missing from it. Would you put the H4 as warm, fun and dynamic sounding?

I’m not a fan of the Sony soundstage. Everything sounds overly “processed” to me. I would take the B&O H4 all day over the Sony MDR-1000x. Hope this helps!

I think B&W PX has the better sound than all of them but it is uncomfortable. So it depends on you whether you accept this drawback or not, for me, I do not have second thought to return B&W PX.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* I strongly recommend you *BURN IN for 300 Hours* @ 70% volume (iPad or iPhone) Use 1. Brown Noise 10mins 2. Pink Noise 10mins 3. White Noise 10mins 4. Silent 1min That specific order Google for FLAC Noise files. *DO NOT BURNIN ON HIGH VOLUME* causes damage. Do not judge their performance especially vocal performance right out of the box or after slight burn in, cuz trust me they sound so much better after a proper burn in. They will sound dull which may make you think the cans are defective or the cable might be bad and replacing the cable might give you a different sound but the fact of the matter is both the stock cable and cans needs intense burn in. *Do not use aftermarket cable.* I tried and it somehow downgrades the B&O sound signature. Patience will reward you with an AMAZING sound signature. Every genre i've listened to has been great with these cans. Jazz, HipHop, TRAP, House, Trance, Dubstep, Pop Well mastered tracks just shine with these. The VOCALS! They are just great with H6 both 1st & 2nd Gen. Smooth & Warm! I'm so happy with the sound signature it offers. Wireless is still not up there for me yet, specially B&O having latency issues in bluetooth department. Wired is always better. Any headphones you buy, you have to work them out to really unlock them. So.....Be Patient.

This is literal snake oil. No point in doing any of this. Certainly not for 300 hours. Certainly not with fucking FLAC noise files. Any sound improvements will come from blueballing yourself from your new headphones for 2 weeks.

Ignore this logic. It completely diregards the concept of there being return windows that may happen sooner than the supposed "break-in" of the device. I understand the spirit of the audiophile kicking in here but to say a "burn in" period is laughable in many ways. Elaborate please. I appreciate information but what is this "burn out" regarding?

I had the h6 second gen, but I couln't get past the recessed, somewhat thin vocals ( especially male ) if I recall correctly they have a dip in the 200-500 freqency response, but h6 second gen sound fantastic with any kind of music that has little to none vocals, ( like he said ) They have an amazing soundstage for a closed design, and they look fabolous as well, I kind of miss them now... darn.

this is due to using the eq in the app, you need to put it back to the default setting and the sound will be balanced again

the internal cable for H6 must be replace!! i replaced it with solid core, airier highs, more meat to vocal, and more kick in bass, before that it sound too flat, or some say natural...
