B needs to write a book. *Side Note - I'm 45 and have smoked weed for a long time. Never smoked cigarettes. I went to the doctor recently, and he asked me if I was a smoker. I assumed he meant cigarettes, and said no. He was shocked. I said, "well I smoke pot". He showed me in x-rays what was scar tissue, and tar from smoking pot. He agree'd it's not as bad for you as cigarettes for carcinogens but any smoke inhaled into your lungs is bad for you. And he said pot smokers usually inhale smoke deeper and hold it in so there is more exposure. Something I'd never thought of. So just a word of advice. Your lungs are definitely effected by smoking pot. Just the coughing over long periods of time cause the scar tissue and smoking it for years can cause acute bronchitis. Not trying to scare anyone. I still smoke. Talk to your doctor, they'll just help you not be upset at you. My doc said water pipes (bongs) most likely do help you and using a clean glass pipe and not a dirty old metal pipe will help too. Vaping is probably better but more studies will tell.

.... Basically too much of anything is bad for you. They say we shouldn't ever smoke weed we should eat it but too much will mess up your stomach lining. Everything in moderation take your breaks and stay active by exercise. Test your endurance sometimes. People are smoking daily and not being active daily.

If you ask me the main thing that causes lung cancer is not the marijuana or the tobacco plant. Though it is common sense that inhaling the smoke from anything is not great for you. But what really gets people sick is the chemicals added to the tobacco. Of course moderation is key for everything, but tobacco and marijuana affect our consciousness b/c they act as keys to certain locks in the brain. Saying it simply w/o going into too much detail about brain chemistry, a key has to be perfectly made in order to open that door in the brain. Since both marijuana and tobacco are perfectly made by nature to affect our brain they are made, by nature, to be smoked. But our bodies are not made to smoke the chemicals that are added to tobacco in a cigarette. And we need to be careful to make sure the same chemicals are not eventually added to marijuana.
