Bären aus Bayern | Schlüter Profi Trac 3500 TVL | Unique tractor ploughing

ENG: Working Schlüter tractors are rare as hens teeth. Especially in The Netherlands. Like many tractors of the famous Bavarian bear this has it's own story. Only four Profi Trac 3500 TVL tractors were ever build by the firm in Southern Germany. This example is the second one build and fitted with an additional intercooler. That makes this tractor unique. The current owner bought it in Germany. Sadly it has been repainted to make it fit in with the Case IH tractors that his old boss used to run. Despite being a unique tractor and worth many thousands of Euro's this certainly isn't a museum piece. The current farmer uses it regularly. It is seen here with a Dowdeswell front press arm, Evers furrow press and a five furrow Lemken Opal 180 5 furrow plough, which it handles with great ease. Under the bonnet sits an 11,5 litre MAN engine that delivers 320 HP. Remember, this was build in 1976 when 40 HP was still the norm on many farms!
NL: Actief werkende Schlüter trekkers zijn vandaag de dag zeer zeldzaam. Zeker in Nederland. Net als zoveel modellen van de beer uit Beieren heeft ook deze zijn eigen verhaal. Slechts vier Profi Trac 3500 TVL trekkers werden ooit door het bedrijf in Zuid-Duitsland gebouwd. Dit model, de nummer twee gebouwd, is uitgerust met een intercooler. Dat maakt hem uniek. De huidige eigenaar kocht hem van een Duits bedrijf. Helaas had dit bedrijf de trekker opnieuw geverfd zodat hij bij hun Case IH trekkers paste. Ondanks zijn unieke status en hoge waarde is het geen museumstuk. De huidige eigenaar gebruikt hem regelmatig. Hier zien we hem in actie met een Dowdeswell front press arm, Evers vorenpakker en Lemken Opal 180 5 schaar ploeg, die hij natuurlijk gemakkelijk trekt. Onder de motorkap ligt een 11,5 liter MAN motor die 320 PK levert. Denk eraan, de trekker stamt uit 1976 toen 40 PK de norm was!
GER: Aktiv arbeitende Schlüter Traktoren sind heute sehr selten. Sicherlich in den Niederlanden. Wie so viele Modelle des Bären aus Bayern hat auch eine eigene individuelle Geschichte. Nur vier Profi Trac 3500 TVL Traktoren immer von der Gesellschaft im südlichen Deutschland gebaut. Dieses Modell, die Nummer zwei gebaut, ist mit einem Ladeluftkühler ausgestattet. Das macht ihn einzigartig. Der jetzige Besitzer kaufte es von einem deutschen Unternehmen. Leider hatte dieses Unternehmen der Schlepper überstrichen, damit sie ihre Case IH Traktoren geeignet. Trotz seines einzigartigen Status und hohen Wert ist kein Museumsstück. Der jetzige Besitzer verwendet sie regelmäßig. Hier sehen wir ihn in Aktion mit einer Dowdeswell vor Pressarm, Evers Packer und Lemken Opal 180 5 Schar-Pflug, die natürlich zieht er einfach. Unter der Haube ist ein 11,5-Liter-Motor, der MAN die 320 PS liefert. Denken Sie daran, die Trecker stammt aus dem Jahr 1976, wann 40 PS war die Norm!

nice video,i remember as a kid back in '80-ies in ex-Yugoslavia,schluter tractors where extremly durable.there where mostly models from 120-180hp.there where few over 200hp.after the war was finished,and we as refugee return to our village in '98,after it was occupied for long 7 years,all 4 schluters survived (2x 120 and 2x 140-150hp) ,and they ploughed +1000ha each year(they where bought in mid '70ies).same buffalo 130 and hercules 160,where scrapped as john deeres 7020...but all 4 '' bears'' where still running

hi great videos i am loving the sound of these trekkers ive seen many pics of these tractors over the years but never seen them moving and working and the man engines sound fantastic just great simple well engineered tractors pity u can buy new ones anymore thanks for posting such fantastic movies ...ian innes ... aberdeenshire scotland ...
