I saw 3 different kinds at walmart from this brand. Was leery, but am gonna give it a go. I don't lotion right before I tan. ...I only do feet, hands, knees, elbows...areas with issues, lol. I also wear a glove under the mitt. Looks good on you.

I too only put lotion on areas where the skin gathers and is dryer like knuckles, Elbows, knees and ankles/feet. I like my tan to get dark so no lotion until after it sets. The lotion will block it from soaking in at full potency. I'm curious as to how it would turn out without the lotion to thin it or minimize it.

This stuff is awesome. I have the St. tropez self tan classic mousse with mitt and i have the Tanned AF darkest 1 hour self tan mousse. I just tired out the Tanned AF mousse and applied it with my st tropez tanning mitt. I think i like st tropez better mainly because i don't have to wash it off and it develops fully the next day. The tanned AF mousse isn't bad but i prefer there mitt over the st tropez mitt. I just washed off the Tanned AF mousse after an hour so hopefully it looks ok. Im super dooper white. Im a lil nervous.

I like the B Tan collection. Check out their website. I also like that the ones I tried anyway are ash based. Gives a cooler brown color for us fair gals with freckles. Often many self tanners make my freckles an orange color; not the look I’m going for. For the price they are well worth it.

Mercury no question is ever a stupid question! Yes it can last up to a week being a really nice tan!

Danni Mason it definitely smells until you wash it off but it’s not super strong smelling at all! I’ve tried other tanning products with really smells

Breanna Patterson no you just blend it onto your hands! You can use a foundation brush or the back of the mitt!

April Helmick you don’t have to! I did this video in the winter and my skin was super dry! I only use lotion on dry patches now like my elbows/knees

Hello babygirl I just found your channel because I got the b.tan stuff and I didn't look it up or anything first. I was just on an impulsive buy because I got new cute stuff to wear but I'm blindingly pale AF and I've had such bad luck with self Tanner's and skin cancer run in my family. My mom just had a place removed from her shoulder and top of her arm. And I've had freckles turn to moles😒. So the sun isn't my friend. I was so nerves to use this but after watching you and your videos ( I've binge watch all day now) and your so adorable and I really enjoyed your personality. Oh girl I know all about it! I’m lucky that my skin is a little more resistant to the sun but my aunt had cancer and so were very serious about the effects of sun damage. I’m so happy my video could help you out 💗 love having you here

Kristen Hill nope! I only applied the tan. After showering though I made sure to stay moisturized so that it didn’t get patchy

Yes, but I just leave it over night and wash it off and then it looks like a really nice dark natural tan!

It lasts about a week if you don’t exfoliate too much in the shower or are in the beach water because the salt will break down the tan a little bit I’m sure. But it is super easy to reapply and it’s really awesome for both summer and winter. I used it while on vacation it didn’t come off in the pool water at all (at least not in a way that was obvious to me or others) hope this helps 🌸

I use a body wash and an exfoliating loofa to exfoliate or they also sell like hand mittens that arre kind of rough and take off all the dead skin

Hailey Rae honestly, unless I need to ( as in like I’m going to be wearing something backless for an event or something) I don’t! I just reach as back as I can on my shoulders. But when I need to my husband does it for me!

im double jointed in my elbows to im able to reach all areas of my back lol. you can also use the back of your hand in the mitt to get higher on your back. :)

Yours may be an exception, but most lotions act as a barrier cream and won’t tan to the products full potential. Just FYI! Thank you for sharing with us :)

Glownicky I’m with ya girl! I’m the same way. One thing I do that I’ve found works well is using a more “organic” lotion and putting it in a bowl and actually adding the tanner in the bowl and mixing. Then using gloves to put it on as a tanning lotion. It honestly works super well. You can put more tanner versus lotion in the ratio if you want it darker!

I’ve always worn fake long sleeved shirts and pants when i sleep with it in (so really i don’t know if it transfers) but I’ve heard that self tanner does so i always wear dark clothes to avoid staining. But I’m too afraid to try and wear it to bed without long pants and shirt

Nooooooo don't apply lotion before tanner 🥰 only dry spots looks very beautiful 😍 it's making streaks because the lotion. It can't soak in the skin with the layer of lotion stopping it and just letting it lay on top of the skin.
