Thank you for the subs! (The system doesn't show me your answer for some reason 😵 Ah well) I can chip in about the hot water thing - apparently when they wish you to get better in Chinese, they urge you to drink more hot water 😅 I suspect it must be the sanitation thing, what with all the different climates and deseases (*cough* covid *cough*) they've had. The trick with public toilets and cafes seems to be universal - if you accidentally end up in Moscow at some point, it's the same here 😎 Chinese having no grammar is hilarious - and shows how difficult it is for us using synthetic languages (Russian is more on that side too) to take the analytic languages' grammar markers seriously 😅 Chinese has markers for a past tense, but they tend to rely on perfect tense markers more and they might be at the end the sentence, not inside a word 🥴

Hi Sziszi!☺ Couldn't it be for political-economic reasons that many people there choose to learn Hungarian..? Wasn't there a plan a few years ago to start a huge Chinese university in Budapest (I remember they said it would be the "biggest in Europe"), that was supposed to be built in the 9th district near Népliget..? And isn't there a plan even now to build a huge Chinese car factory in Szeged..? Then I lost track of these projects so I really don't know what happened.🙂 p.s. I prefer to avoid political or sociological remarks because my "Chinese social credit score" might decrease significantly.😄🙊

Szia ☺️ Oh, wow I haven’t even heard about it. I googled it now and the whole thing seems very shady to me 😅 The way I understand is there isn’t a Chinese university and the government promises it’ll open this year but some articles say there won’t be a university. But there’s a foundation that receives money for operating the non existent campus 😂 According to the articles I found the car factory is in progress. Thanks for watching 🥰

And a bunch of people back then protested against it. As usual just like with the Consultations they either ask questions with obvious answers or in other cases if they don't like the results they just try again but more lowkey the next time around. This one would ofc. be built using Hungarian taxpayers money just to build an Uni no one actually from around here could afford to attend so you can guess why people told them to shove it. And since no one wants to work a crappy underpaid job at a car factory with probably lots of unpaid overtime so that one will be useless as well only good for 'guest-workers' (the way it's planned mostly from the Philippines and Ukraine)who will either probably stay forever or realize they got way better opportunities just a country or two further unless they stupidly sign some contract which would bind them there before thinking twice. Maybe the factory will be profitable with reasonable wages or maybe it will be basically slave labor but the former is surely not in the interests of the Lölö gang which will likely not get a say over the Chinese factory director anyway. I'm not holding my breath for this one. We're not going to benefit from this that's for sure and that's a reason enough for me to dislike NER-affiliated 'long term investments' which get us nowhere but only fatten those who are already stupidly rich. A real nationalist conservative government would exempt small businesses from taxes with the losses reclaimed from the particular multinationals we absolutely don't need, it's the best way to keep money in circulation and inside the country but we only got phonies as options and the people are still willing to pick one. 40 years of free theft wasn't enough.
