I've always loved the sheer hilarity of the droids in the StarWars movies, TV shows and video games, and this is absolutely an excellent addition to that. By not having to have a dedicated droid brain in every battle droid they could massively save on costs because the rest of the frame is dirt cheap. They did have these things built by the quadrillions after all.
