For real, when we actually watched The Clone Wars, this feels not only fitting, but almost kind of depressing, knowing how both the clones and the droids are both beings created only to live, fight and die in a war they never chose to, in the name of concepts they didn't even live to understand.

After the war, a lone Clone Trooper veteran walked an old Clone Wars Battlefront, and among the sea of Droids a single one remained, deactivated, the Clone felt sympathetic to the Droid, he realized that both of them were played in this pointless war, so he picked it up and brought it to a person who could activate it and restore it, after activating, the Droid freaked out, it was severed from the network and free. The Clone and the Droid then became friends and sung this song.

This makes me think of a story: Kix, Final Sergent of the 501st and Last Son of Kamino, finding him in this changed galaxy completely unrecognizable from the one he left behind what felt like mere days ago finally finds something familiar a B1 with the telltale red Geonosian metal plates, FR-33 the Last Veteran of the Battle of Petranaki Arena and Final Child of Geonosis. Though they were once enemies the two find kindred spirits in one another being relics of a by-gone age, both deceived by the same cruel puppet master who used them as weapons to fight an ultimately pointless for his nefarious ends then threw them away without a second thought. And even now they can not rest in peace, as these veterans of the most devastating conflict the galaxy has ever seen, once sworn enemies now brothers in arms, stand to fight against the First Order and hopefully finally help bring the galaxy into that better future where beings like them are nothing more than a distant memory.
