B18 VTEC mini at Knockhill Racing Circuit

My first track day at Knockhill, had a absolute blast but then my sump sprung a massive leak 30 mins into my 2 hour session. I'm defiantly going to go back though and try and improve on my track times. Hope you enjoy the video and sorry for the rattling noise, that's my camera bumping against the windscreen. I've recently brought a 1997 classic rover mini Equinox and I don't know what steering wheel fits my model. Can I use a Momo steering wheel and have the adapts boss kit for just a classic mini?

IIRockstarrxX Oh hey dude :) Was fine in the wet, tbh i didnt slow down at all when it started slightly raining lol. Probably because of the FWD as you can see that s2000 going quite slow. Ive never driven a rwd car but i can imagine!

Hey man i've been watching your videos for a bit now and i've absolutely fallen in love with minis from this, there's something about them that just makes me excited haha, oh well how much have you spent on your mini in total and what have you done to it? How much did the car cost from the beginning? :-) Do you recommend them as a first car year around with snow and all that?

Hehe I'm happy my videos have inspired you soo much! :D this is my 2nd car, I bought it for £3.5k it had a 1380cc a series back then and I got a bill for £2k to fix the rust :3 after a bit I was wanting to go faster and my old engine was playing up so I saw my b18 and the Watson's subframe kit on eBay, placed a bid and got it all for £2.5k. Now this next but is the expensive bit, I chose to have Watson's rally fit everything for me as I didn't have the tools, space or skills required. My bill from Watson's was £5k. They quote £7.5k for a conversion on their website. You can save a lot of money there doing it all by yourself as labor costs a bomb! All together including buying the mini and everything I've spent like £17k. Most on labor costs :P I advise having a look on 16vminiclub forum for loads of build logs and a bunch of helpful chaps :)

Also I wouldn't recommend using a mini all year round. They rust very easily so driving in the snow can be an expensive mistake :P I now have a audi a4 for my daily and my mini it tucked away for the winter atm :)

+i Zyth no problem! There are completed cars that go on sale every now and then and also some uncompleted projects. There's one for sale atm on eBay starting at £2k. But yeah they make great weekend and summer cars! Also there's loads of events all year round for classic minis all across the UK :D
