Man I had this same exact problem. I had j u n stage 3 cams. I took them out and installed GSR cams and still same freaking problem. I tried everything. I know this video is 2 years old but I'm hoping an angel will point me in the right direction. I literally did everything he just did plus more.

6:20 a friend of mine who had a 1200hp drag Integra ran stock ITR cams and had no issues at all. Its only the all motor guys who see huge benefits from higher lift cams.

Had same issue with mine found out I had all motor cam and need to switch to gsr cams

I'll bet just making the entire exhaust system 3" would pick up like 40 more HP. You should offer a "lets go over your ride before we tune it" service. So many rides would dyno tune w/ much better results I think.

We had this same issue on my friend ek hatch. We swapped a b18c1 bottom end with the b16c1 top end and had a similar issue with the vtec not engaging

I bet they polished those cams soo good they polished the cam journal surface area right out causing excessive cam journal clearance which caused the valve train to lose pressure in vtec LMFAO

Looks like obx. Had a set and ran just like it, misfire on vtec. Swap to sk2 tuner and it ran good

It’s most likely that’s the cams weren’t degreed if there stage two and over there would be valve overlap witch would cause misfiring symptoms

I’m having same problem with my car 4500rpm is m bogging down bad when I disconnect the vtec it goes to 4-42k it hesitates out pulls thru I’m not sure why have not tuned yet what should I do ? Hunter I need some advice on my stock Internal b20vtec build. 96 type r head, full OBD2. Dragon fire VTEC distributor brand new, car wouldn't run before replacing distributor. GSR cams running on a stock obd2a p72 gsr ecu. Have a. VTEC subharness and integra LS non VTEC engine harness. Car has a huge lack of power and has a slight misfire while accelerating. I installed the subharness myself and VTEC works. The harness came with a knock sensor connector, I was wondering if I had to cha get that before it'll get full power or if the cams absolutely need to be degreed. Slower than a stock single cam but after 7k she starts pulling hard.
