I like your oxymoron "boring fun". This particular watch isn't my jam. But, I can acknowledge that there is something kind of cool and appealing about the use of colors on this one. There's enough liveliness to it that gives some excitement for the eyes.

I am not "digging" it as much as Rob was, but it is a cool watch. At least it has a signed crown. Same old jangling bracelet and cheap clasp, but I can not expect anything better than from a $400 range of Seiko. NH36 movement which is a super basic, but works like my 18 years old Toyota. Nonetheless, that light neon green (HUF color) is not really my cup of tea. I haven't bought Seiko 5 watches for a very long time... probably since I found Aliexpress, ha ha. Seiko value now 🤔. The affordable watch segment will be taken over by the Chinese watch industry mark my words. Even Orient are getting too salty for what you get.
