Thanks Lusk for the review. Great flying broadheads that get the job done on whitetails, with big exit holes! We have something coming next year that we would like you to test sometime soon! All the best this fall to you on your adventures!

@@theincredible9168he’s not a joke lol, moved up to a 530 grain arrow and a Magnus and passed through a doe after splitting the thickest part of the rib without any issues at all. That would NOT happen with a light mechanical setup, I’ve had it happen personally.

@@rykerpuckett2883 yeah he has become kind of a joke until he starts full-time making data with modern equipment it doesn't matter he just talks more than anybody else. Another, double shoulder same arrow with a Zeus Hera double shoulder full pass-through at 51 yards. Got some on video with a 400 gr lol. hey john can you test the keaup broadheads from amazon? I think they are a rage knockoff but i put one through a tire three times and it held up great. I couldn't get the blades to lock back up after the third time but the cut was great with 8" of penetration. I also stopped shooting over the top mechanicals because if you don't get a pass through there's no blood trail with the tiny entrance hole
@LuskArcheryAdventures Жыл бұрын
They asked me to, but I can see a really significant patent they've broken, so I won't do it. I don't like to be too political, but when it's that obvious, I don't want to play a part in it.
@madwe2269 Жыл бұрын
A 125 or 150gr version of this with thicker and maybe reinforced blades would be amazing. With the extra torque on the blades cause by rotation due to the offset, I think that thicker blades would have been more of a forethought. Everything by b3 except for their broadheads are amazing, and all their heads only need 1 or 2 changes to be exceptional.

In school a 77 passes and this head missing a whole set of steel plate testing, is not equal. it seems like a failure to me and no matter what should be sub 75
@LuskArcheryAdventures Жыл бұрын
Haha. I understand your thinking, but I have carefully created the formula for the scoring. It's not infallible by any stretch. But I think 5% for the steel plate test is fair. And 3% for the concrete as well. Now the MDF is 12%--that's much more realistic and "important" to assess hunt durability.

9” in the gel has to be near the highest ever. Keep in mind folks, bent blades aren’t great but better than broken. I prefer rear deploy myself.

Not the highest, but one of them. Very impressive--but that entry hole in the hard MDF is pretty small, and that helps.

Bet this head will easily hold up in deer for some reason people think deer are bullet proof
@madwe2269 Жыл бұрын
Well, I have witnessed a 90gr bonded bullet from a 243 get completely mushed on the shoulder bone of a 110lb doe. That bullet resides on my desk with less than 50% weight retention. I also have a 130gr 270 bullet that weights something around 40gr recovered because of core separation. That bullet didn't even make it out of a 160lb buck. The budget amazon mechanicals did better than this. I'd imagine if you even hit a rib wrong this head wouldn't do great.
@johnathanhannah4180 Жыл бұрын
Unless you’re shooting a fixed at close range and super fast speed, no broadhead is going to do well impacting a deer’s shoulder. I do have concerns about how this head will handle a rib impact and would like to see some real world examples in the field. A 2” diameter with that kind of penetration is a recipe for a devastating exit wound… assuming the blades pass through intact.
@frankspataro9714 Жыл бұрын
You send me one and I will smash a doe with it this week bet the deer will be dead as hell even if a blade breaks off or not lol I like large entry wholes because your not guaranteed a exit but I bet that thing demolishes em
@LuskArcheryAdventures Жыл бұрын
It will in most situations. But angled shots, bone impacts, animal movement--those factors can really test what a head can and cannot handle. Some people want to prepare for the worst situations, not just "most" situations.

When I saw how thin the blades were I knew their days were numbered. Just not enough depth in the geometry to resist bending moment. They would need to be made from spring steel or titanium to resist plastic deformation.

@LuskArcheryAdventures not with this design. I can agree with you with the swhacker. Because the wing blade are toward the back of the blade . But this one the (wing) blades are on the front. So when it hit the target they should be push back open before they go in the target
@whitewiskerz2577Ай бұрын
These heads deflect really bad. Happend 2 times this season. If your target is square on they are great but at an angle it gets real weird. I got lucky and got another shot on one deer and found the second after 600 yard track job. Ill be switching for sure.

I often wonder what is going through the minds of some of these broadhead manufacturers. Skinny blades with a lot of cut and offset? In not surprised it didn't perform well on the durability testing. Part of me wonders if that was intentional. It's job security. Keep buying blades.
