Torque Specs:
Cylinder head cover to cylinder head: 10Nm
High pressure pump to cylinder head cover: 12Nm
Fuel Rail to Cylinder Head: 5Nm
Fuel Rail to Injectors: 5Nm
Ground cable to rail: 5Nm
High pressure line between rail and high pressure pump: 33Nm
Ignition coil to Cylinder Head: 8Nm
Strut Bar to Body: 56Nm
Battery Negative Cable: 5Nm

@@alecpapanicolaou8125 etorx and a socket set will get you pretty much everything. A pick tool wouldn't hurt for some of the connectors.

Hey reposting this from your injector video in case you don’t see it. While removing the first injectors using the proper removal tool, all three of the pressure pins snapped off. I was being very careful and only doing a quarter turn at a time. So now I have three broken injectors that are still stuck. Any advice?

Great work! I have an N55 with over 100k miles on the original valve cover and it still holding up, but it showing some sweating on the rear passenger side of the cover so I should do it soon.

How much should you pay to get this done at a shop? $600 valve cover and how many hours? I bought a 540i from CarMax and found out it had a cheap Chinese valve cover installed at sum point. It failed 10 days out of there 90 day warranty. I had to go pay to get it all done so it's documented.

Hey, it seems that replacing the valve cover would most likely fix the misfire issue. I had the literal exact same issue on my B48 with misfires and oily plugs. Compression and leak down tests were good too. The car is with the dealer and they claim it’s the DME but I’m pretty sure that’s unrelated. Hopefully the new valve cover fixes your issue

If it's damaged, cracked, leaking etc. Also if the car is smoking like a pcv failure, but a pcv delete/diaphragm replacement doesn't fix it

Did you change the rubber seal on the injectors? I recently changed the injectors, but I want to change the valve cover now. The injectors only has maybe less than 100 miles on it. I wonder if I need to change the seal when I pull them out.

I have a heat management mudule controller code but I replaced the thermostat 2 months ago and code popped back up says heat management stuck closed I’m starting to think it’s the pcv valve cars not over heating at all no misfire at all either could be my pcv valve?? Hey kern I was trying to replace my hpfp with the B58tu and ended up breaking one of the bolts, it got stuck in there bad and now one has been able to get it out, do you know what the part is that the hpfp sits on and is it replaceable? I can’t find any information online throughout my own research

I would take it to a shop that has a bolt extractor. You should be able to get it out. That component is not sold on its own so you'd have to replace the whole head.

Kern i recently got a pcv failure and the car is good after changing the diaphragm. Problem is the CEL remained (p112f). U think it can be something with the gaskets or the entire cover?

I would go with OEM it's kinda a big job and I have 540i that a aftermarket valve cover failed within 10k miles.

Hi Kern! I had to replace the VCG on my B58TU, after a bunch of confusion I find out the TU and non TU have different injectors. Now I don’t have a seal for the injector that fits nor a part number for the TU injector seal. Would you happen to know where I could find the part number?
