ARE YOU SURE that no coding? Because the E-diff that comes stock on these cars actually work together with he ABS system to apply brake on the wheel that gets to spin and i this needs to be coded out when you get the LSD in. I mean, yeah, the LSD will function, but the care will get to still apply brakes at times when 'it feels so'

Would port injection be worth the investment to simply delete direct injection for the reliability? What else would be worth doing/changing just for the sake of reliability, like the oil pump ect? Or should I just leave it until it's due to be serviced? So in other words it's like considering getting rid of your balls so you prevent the chance of getting cancer in them 😂

Oh I got a 2019 X7 40i 2 months ago as well. 76k miles. My 740i got totaled by Helene. Mine works perfectly fine. I only did a transfer case fluid change as this is the weak point of it.

Would a bad pcv valve cause this code? I’ve replaced the crank case ventilation hose already and still have the code and I don’t think my intake is causing problems, I’ve tightened the clamps down

i need to replace two sensors. the mechanic told me i have one sensor to replace near the cat and one to replace in the front. i was told i need one upstream and one downstream sensor. i heard that there are 4 o2 sensors in b58. i searched a lot but the information is very confusing, like Bank 1 Bank 2 stuff. how do i know which sensors to replace? i just spend 3500 to fix some issues, can't afford to pay more to mechanic. please help

Its always little things on these new BMWs. The 58s are pretty solid if you take care of them. Always some kinda little BS idrive issue or the sunroof drains not draining right on my X3M.

Wow B58s are really reliable aren't they. If my N55 which is very reliable doesn't have these issues I hope my b58 doesn't either.

I only run Redline 5W-40 in my S63TU. Redline 5W50 in the S85. Troy Jeup swears by 5W50 Redline on both engines but that's the way I like to run them. No longer than 3000-3500 Mile oil changes. Sometimes I'll go a whole year where I only drive 1k miles on a certain car, I still change the oil annually at that 1k mile interval. Annual oil changes are a must for longevity of timing chain guides, oil pump, lifters, rod bearings among many other things.
