I truly love your videos! So helpful and informative. I’ve allocated 15-20 blank pages in front of my B6 Stalogy for journaling all the things ( memories, gratitude, homeschool, struggles, etc ) I think I love having it all together in one place for now. Sometimes it’s a sentence or two and sometimes it’s a page of writing. 😍

DrinaB Thank you so much! I’m glad you find them helpful. That’s a lovely no-pressure way to journal, I love it!!

I have been doing memory keeping in my planner since I switched to the b6 stalogy. I find myself memory keeping more than ever before, something about the fact that it's a book I open everyday and is in constant view makes it easier for me to keep up with it.

Shelby McAndrew Yes! That’s exactly how I feel. Having it to hand makes a huge difference. Glad you’ve found a way that works for you😊

Love your videos. So look forward to them... And I appreciate how you reply to all your viewers’ comments. Not many KZbinrs do that. So, thank you for that. I memory keep in my A5 Stalogy, separate from my planner. My planner is for my day to day things, keeping track of where I need to be and what I need (or want) to do. My A5 Stalogy is for my photos where I can journal a little about them, add stickers, scrapbook paper, memorabilia, tat sort of thing. I also keep a separate journal in my A5 Hobonichi Cousin Avec. The journal is for me, my eyes only really, and I decorate it with washi and stickers mainly. I will be adding some tip-ins at some point. The difference between my journal and my memory keeping is my audience. I don’t care who looks at my Stalogy, even though I capture on photos and write about things that matter to me. I just don’t write down anything too personal. I save the personal stuff for my journal. I have a question for you: how much time would you say you spend each evening going through your “evening planner routine?” Just curious. You’ve inspired me to review my tomorrows on the evenings before, but you update a lot of things each evening. I’m not consistent when I journal or memory keep, although I would like to work a little bit in each book every evening. It seems a bit overwhelming to me right now though...
@Daksina4 жыл бұрын
Anita queenofdownton I love that! I also have a “for me only” journal. I don’t ever share that on here because as you said, it’s my private thoughts. It’s literally just paper and pen. But I love that you have a separate memory keeping journal that others could look through too❤️ I spend about 10-20 minutes each evening updating my planner. It varies a little because sometimes we’ve done a lot in our homeschool that I need to record, but other times we did the bare minimum so I only need to tick things off the tracker. I also don’t write in every area every day. I would suggest making a list of things you want to update regularly and every evening just try to update at least one or two of them. That way they all get updated regularly but there’s no pressure to do it all every single day. Like my sticker monthly memory planning - sometimes I just do one week in one sitting as I haven’t had time to do that every evening. I hope that makes sense and helps! Thank you for all your support and love friend❤️❤️❤️

Daksina That’s my issue - I put pressure on myself to do each thing evrery day and it feels like a fail when I don’t do it, which is a lot of the time. I need to remember to give myself grace and stop the pressure of trying to make it perfect. Just strive to do it regularly. Thank you for the tips. Very helpful!

I’m working backwards on catching up on your videos. Love! ❤️❤️❤️ It sounds like you have a good system and rhythm going. People say the same thing about me having so much to update, but once it becomes routine, it’s pretty easy. I do keep my memory keeping in my planner in a list format at the bottom of my daily pages. I write quick excerpts of what everyone did in our day. I kept a monthly calendar for many years but it’s hard to look back and really see what we did in our day. I memory keep since I found out my dad had dementia and I wanted to document our days so my girls and grand babies will have something to read after I’m gone, hopefully a really long time from now. 🤗 I also don’t have any family history of my parents (they’ve both passed) so I also want to document that for my kids. I just started doing it three years ago, but I’m enjoying it. I love how your documenting your homeschool. They will be precious memories to look back on. I also started a separate journal to update whenever I feel led to which will include more of the feeling behind our day. I feel that my planner in the last two years were too much of bullet points versus the actual mood or feeling of the day. Thanks for sharing & inspiring! ❤️❤️❤️ Joy2plan

Sharon N Yes definitely, once it’s becomes a part of the routine, it’s very quick to update. I love how you memory keep. I know what you mean about bullet points, I think that’s why I started writing notes to the kids and my husband - they are more about the feeling behind what happened. We just want to record everything don’t we😂😊🙌🏽 I often imagine my kids and grandkids looking through these in the future too❤️

Memory keeping in context-yes that is what works the best for me, it actually gets done that way. I struggle with being afraid of using too many pages. The notebook I’m in now will go till Dec 31, but literally the last page, leaving no room for notes or gratitudes, etc., like you have. But the thing is if I start another book I doubt I’d have enough to fill it, and I hate wasting Tomoe river paper. 2020 will be my first full year of using just a bound grid notebook. I used one the last 6 months of last year and found it’s what I really like, but for some reason having 12 months ahead of you is more stressful than having only 6 months. I’m using Nanami Cafe Note A5 cut to standard TN size, so it has 480 pages plenty for the whole year-technically. Love your videos!
@Daksina4 жыл бұрын
Rosemary Soto I bet you could definitely fill up 2 books lol. It’s amazing how much I write in mine knowing that I have enough pages to do so. But I totally get what you mean about not wanting to waste TR paper.

I loved seeing your evening routine in your journal. I’ve gotten so many wonderful ideas from your videos! When I laid out my 2020 planner/notebook lineup I realized that I have TEN setups. 🙈 It’s a lot but my main setup is my pocket size bullet journal. I do minimal memory keeping in there (small notes on daily happenings), which would be enough for me, but I also have a dedicated memory keeping planner plus a journal. The good thing is that I don’t have to keep up with those systems daily - I’ll usually pull them out once a week, refer back to my bullet journal and add more details and decoration in the other setups. That being said, I am finding it more repetitive now that I’m trying one page per day in my bullet journal so we will see how it goes!! I’m always open to my systems evolving with my needs. 😊

@@Daksina well I got the mega so I've got 213 so that's quite a lot. But I've already counted everything out for trackers, and weekly pages for journaling, stuff for the kids and like that. So not much space left haha!

Thanks sis for another great video! I get so excited when I see your name pop up in my KZbin feed! I journal and do a bit of memory keeping in one book simply because I don't want to have multiple books to deal with. For many people, it works to have separate books for different things, but that doesn't work for me. It is too overwhelming and I won't keep up. At most, I use two notebooks which contain everything I need. Be blessed, C.
@Daksina4 жыл бұрын
Carolyn Townes Awww hahaha you’re so sweet!! I know what you mean about multiple books. If I don’t have it with me all the time, I won’t write in it, and I can’t carry two around so that’s why I prefer having everything just in one place. Thank you for watching, commenting, and your blessings❤️🙏🏼

I love your overall set up. Did you have to add a slit in the back of your Filofax or did it come with one? I ordered the stone A5 and it’s gorgeous but It hurts to think about doing so many changes to it.
@Daksina4 жыл бұрын
Beverly Romine Thank you!! It comes with the back pocket. I only had to remove the rings😊 Are you planning on taking them out of your A5? The Stone is a beautiful choice❤️

Yes I want to de ring the A5 however it has no back pocket. I am debating it all together. I love my moterm with the big back pocket I just know once my stalogy gets fat it will not snap.

Daksina, thank you for this video. They are all informative. Question. How many Stalogys do you go though in a year? I tried getting a whole year in a B6 but I only squeezed in 5 months?
@Daksina4 жыл бұрын
toots four Thank you!! Last year I needed 2 but it was a struggle as I needed more pages. This year my plan was to use 3 (4 months in each book), but it’s looking more like I’ll need 4! I think it’s ok because I don’t use any other planner, everything is in this one book - planning, fitness, homeschool, memory keeping, notes...so it takes as many pages as it takes and I’m ok with that.
