The B7A2 is fantastic, so having one with a better engine sounds great. They nerfed the roll rate and turn rate quite some time ago, but it's still great.

OK, for the most part you are correct about the B7A2. However for most people playing this aircraft I have some advice of my own. This is a long one so prepare yourself. I'll start with the history. For the most part he is correct all im doing really is expanding on it based on what I've read. She was Aichi's response to the navy's 1941 16-shi requirement. Which wanted a naval aircraft that would replace both the B6n and D4y. In 1942, the B7A2 took flight for the first time. However issues with the newer and more powerful engine coupled with airframe issues hindered her performance and more work was needed. She would come back out in 1944 and with all the issued more or less fixed she performed well. Even going as far as outperforming the zero. Mainly in speed. The B7A2 Ryusei is a carrier based level bomber, torpedo bomber, dive bomber and attacker. Hence all of her various features that Tankenstien points out so much. It was identified that her size and weight would mean that she could only realistically operate from Taiho and Shinano. One could argue shokaku and Zuikaku however I think the only issue with them 2 is elevator and hanger size. Speaking from a practical perspective. That being said non of that would matter because they were all sunk by the time she was ready for operation. She never saw much if any action and her factory found the same fate as Amagi. An earthquake. How lovely. In game I'd use her in the roles stated earlier and you can do air to air but I wouldn't always advise it. She is fast and nimble however, she can be a bit strange when manoeuvring. Remember she isn't a fighter. Always keep your speed and altitude and I'd you find yourself in trouble dive and gain speed most enemies can't catch or sustain the same dive speed as Ryusei. Make good use of the dive breaks as they are very useful. You'll need your teammates to back you up as Remember, she isn't a fighter. So don't dogfight because you'll die. I personally share the same energy as Tankenstien and she secures a special place in me. This comment really exists because of the upcoming battlepass version and I'd imagine seeing them in greater numbers. So hopefully this extra information helps you.

I love this thing. It's my most played plane and what I learned to "git gud" at flying in, and is my go-to event grinding plane. It's just a brilliant machine!

One of my favorite planes to take out to Naval RB too, the excellent torpedo along with decent maneuverability, acceptable armor, and - probably the most notable feature of Japanese torpedo bombers - forward-firing gun, makes this an excellent for the game mode.

Bombs are just straight up better than torps in naval’s current state. I hate it whenever somebody says “torpedo bombers are for naval”. The B7A2 is still the best Japanese plane for naval RB though. Also you can reload ordnance at an airfield in naval RB, just like in air or ground RB.

I been playing the B7A2 for a long time while there was historical matches, etc. I always love the versatility and how it can do really decent job as a bomber and fighter if using brakes, flaps correctly and its a ton of fun!

Torpedo speeds get amped around 3x in Naval Arcade so there is that to lol

Actually the US wins in the most TNT in torps, in airdropped ones (Mk.13/44 with 435.5 kg; compared to the IJN's Type 91/M3 307,2 kg; their ship based is 2nd: the Mk.16 with 915.2 kg / Type 93/M3 with 998,4 kg worth of TNT). So in other tech-trees just look for a US naval plane (if it has one) if you want a torpedo-bomber for naval (french and british has), otherwise just use bombs against larger ships (yes even a frigate can survive those oversized british ones with the 224kg warhead).

So; sorry Wyvern, but I'm gonna stick to my Hellcat Mk.2 (+ the Brigand, in naval)! I can't remember my most kills in 1 game in air RB; maybe it was 7 (got a 5 kill +1 assist in a F8U last week that's sure), but my most kills in air AB is 17 max, with the following planes: Bf 110C (way back in 2015), Re.2005 and J21A (one of them) during old(er) events that had tasks, not scores!

@@kkang2828 There are tasks where u need to sink ships with a plane using torpedo, so... And those still one of the easier tasks! + if your plane gats messed up u can still drop early and hope for the best (specially if your plane can carry multiple torps). PS.: some planes stat-card also says: "Torpedo bomber"

@@kkang2828 Just use a low BR, rank 3+ plane, with the upper mentioned torps, with a boat preset, and u'll face DDs with minimal/no AA! like: P1Y1 (3.3 !rank 4!) JP, F6F (3.0/3.3) US+British, SB2C (3.0) US (+ French at 3.7). For me that's 1-2 games only to do the task with those.

my problem from the BP B7A2 is that only difference with the tree version is that it has ... only an engine upgrade.... and thats all...... nothing special no bigger bomb etc ....... i think is bad choice at all that BP vehicles...... poor to very poor BP .. i believe

I don't agree. BP vehicles shouldn't be insanely OP. It's a good alternative to the tech tree B7A2 since it also gives premium bonuses. The engine power difference isn't all that great so it's a nice addition without being OP or weak af. Being free at lvl 51 is the best part. The other vehicles are questionable though
