I’m flying LHR to HK in June and was apprehensive abo it sitting near the back but this has made me feel better! I sat at the window in a 3 seat and felt quite limited as didn’t want to annoy people. But sat aisle on the way back and was 100x better!!

Glad they added usb sockets on those elderly 777s . Still they feel as cramped as their 787-8s

Useful review. Flown on BA a lot (as you can see from my channel), but not say in the twin seats at the back of the 77W. I have same seat to IAH in July for an aviation event.

Just booked these based of your great review. Not sure if I should go for the window or aisle. Window gives me somewhere to rest my head to sleep. Aisle lets me stretch my leg out. Any thoughts/recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks again for the reviews

I personally prefer the window seat as it means anyone sitting next to me won't have to ask me to move so they can get up etc. Plus like you say you have the wall/window to lean on

Just booked for flight to Bangkok from Gatwick in January. Got the flights cheap so paid the extra for these twin seats lol hope they're worth it.

Just got back from Delhi to Heathrow BA 142 777, outward journey cabin crew were superb, unfortunately return journey was a very poor, only offered one hot drink on a 8 hour journey, staff looked lost.

I’m going on a BA 777 in two weeks. Did you find the noise from the galley or smell from the loo a problem? Also, being so far in the back, were you first to board or last to board? Did you have a problem with overhead carry-on space? I’m trying to do carry-on only.

@mikefuquay9903 no real problem with noise but it was a night flight so not many using the toilets. I have BA status so was boarding early and had plenty of overheard space.

Thank you! Honestly not really much extra noise, it was a night flight so not much toilet use.. I guess if busy people would use that extra space to queue for the toilet but I think it's for out weighed by the extra leg room and being a 2 seater

Thanks for the prompt response. Useful to know. Totally agree about the benefits of a 2 seater outweighing any potential drawbacks, especially as a couple. Being away from the majority of the passengers and leg room is great. Keep up the great work.

Could you confirm if the twin seats behind you could recline as well? They appear to have a back panel behind them preventing this? Also keen to understand if this occurs on the other side of plane as well as that did not appear to have the same back panel. Great review in general.

Yes you correct the back most seats don't fully recline because they are close to the panel. This is the same for both sides

what type of Headphone jack does the media system use?

Its a two jack system BUT i found it also works with a normal single 3.5 stereo jack

I'm 6ft and the normal economy seats are certainly tight, after 4-5 hours I certainly start feeling it. The seats at the back where we sat do really help giving some space to stretch out. Having said that the best thing about Premium Economy is that extra leg room, so if you can afford to, for a 10 hour flight i would certainly go Premium Economy

I’m going to London from Boston in May on one of those. How comfortable are the economy seats. 270 lbs or 19 stone 5’7. Seats doable?

Honestly it's not that bad, I'm 6 foot and 21 stone. Seat belt fits fine and I fit with arm rest down. I would very much recommend trying to get window or aisle, you will be pretty close to the person next to you. I've flown to Boston a fair bit and don't feel bad at the end of it.woukd say 7-8 hours is the max before it really starts being uncomfortable

@@devwithzachary I’m traveling with my wife, she’s short and very in shape. We’re going to try for those two seats together in the back. My doc recommended using compression socks as well because of the high altitude. I have a few health issues including one kidney (removed the right one because of a kidney cancer).

BA is crazy expensive. Normally I travel business with Air France. Not the most expensive but good for long haul.

They do, it's a pretty good drink service and they will specificly ask if you want wine with dinner. However I don't tend to drink on flights, doesn't mix well with being 36,000 feet up for me 🤣
