Your voice timbre is very nice. Provides the right kind of tranquility ( sukoon) required for ghazal singing. I have been listening to Mehdi Sahab since my 11-12 years of age and now I am into my late 40. Frankly speaking I never overcame the addiction of his voice and singing. I don't know how one can acquire such great shaans ( breath ). I never found Mehdi Sahab out of breath while singing in concerts. Keep the great work going and sing few more of the timeless classics of Mehdi Sahab. My humble request is, please sing with rhythm instrument. Wish you good health.

Ghazal gayaki ki khasiyat yeh hai ki aapko har Lafz ko uske maani aur uski taseer ke hissab se gaana padhta hai. This is the work of an alchemist. Dheere-dheere ek ek lafz ko suron se sanvaarna hota hai. The masters have created these timeless compositions. Baat Karni is special to me because I remember this moment when I was holding the hand of my mother and returning back from school. She was humming this ghazal. I was too young to understand what a ghazal is, who Mehdi Hassan saab is, or the legend of Bahadur Shah Zafar. Thank you for bringing that memory back! Personally, this is among the top three pieces that you sang during this vanvaas. I listened to this on a loop. The aft-conversation is very endearing and reflective. It makes one think. Stay blessed!

In early 2000s, I saw Mehedi Saab's concet in NJ and was really wishing he'd sing this song. He couldn't due to lack of time. Today after many years it feels like that wish is fulfilled. Miss my dad who passed away recently and introduced me to this song via a Runa Laila version. It is just so enriching and peaceful to listen to you. Hope you will keep it up even after things return to normal.
