As much learned this elderly gentleman is, i feel nothing beats Harinder ji’s podcast. The message and knowledge was just next level. Probably thats because i am well versed in sikh history and this podcast is not adding to my existing knowledge. When somebody talks about gurbani, thats where all hidden pearls are sitting. Also Harinderji was able to join the dots between sargun and nirgun svaroop of sikhi very well nonetheless great work as this podcast surely is again in right direction. @@tattvamasee Guru sahib never translated puranas rather rewrite them through the prism of gurbani. Dasam granth sahib is the 2nd most important granth. You can know the detailes of dasam granth through the book by shri abhinash mahapatra

@@harshdeepsingh8211 Yes you are right Guruji never translated the puranas but gurbani is a language in which granth sahib as a philosophy have its own prism to facilitate their thought but the knowledge which all our gurus summarised from their mind & puranas are known as gurubani granth today . Guru ji summarises the knowledge of his mind and the source of knowledge can be older guru words, puranasa ,vedas or any philosophy. So read all of it by which i mean both if anyone says that guru have taken this reference from any puran rather than directly denying it do a refrence check or little research veere it will only make your stand more stable and strong.

@@harshdeepsingh8211 indeed brother it is a dharm philosophy which was spoken by gurus during their experiences of this world while they were travelling and learning about other philosophy and dharma along with abhramic belives as well . Guru nanak dev ji udasis are known as source of his philosophy which started from india then to arab and all along till Indonesia. Gautam budhha also did travell whole Indian sub continents before Buddhism dharm and so did mahavir . What i would like to say from my study till now that they all visited different places in this big sub continent get to know people and philosophy which they are holding and then they bring out their prospective through all of these research they did on dharma and adharma philosophy(dharshan in hindi). They present it in their own way of living that's why we called it dharma which is a way of living all of below are philosophy come under dharm cause they are derived from the same or different branch pf the same tree as well santan (Hinduisam) Buddhist dharm, Jain dharm & sikhi dharm So i got your point as well.

Jab ye sab kuch huya ton wo aurangzeb ke darbar mein hi mojud tha. Kuch hi seconds ke baad khabar mili ki aurangzeb ki mout ho gyi hai.

Just as he started reciting gurbani and rabab was played, the chakki of guru nanak and bhai mardana itself started rotating. The others remained shocked to see this azmat . Babars soldier saw this and went straight to babar and told about him and his miracle . Babar came to prison and said with folded hands, that if he had already known before that you were actually allah's ( God's) man, I would have never imprisoned you. Guru nanak taught him a lesson, and asked him to release all that he had imprisoned. Babar accepted and released all the innocents. In exchange, babar wished that his generations rule for long and asked for a boon. Guru nanak gave him a boon that you will rule as long as your generations follow the path of righteousness. At the end, when your generation rulers will step on cruelty, khalsa will give sacrifices and will cut your roots and vanish your whole empire ( guru nanak's future bachan about his 10th form, khalsa and aurangzeb). Bro, sikh gurus were never against any religion. Good and bad are in every faith just like good and rotten tomatoes.They were against egoistic and cruel nature of kings who were indulged in pride, irrespective of religion. You can read famous prayer in gurbani, there is a prayer of sikhs in gurbani known as ' babar bani ' recited by guru nanak in front of babar. In that prayer, guru nanak sahib clearly states what and how much atrocities babar army did on people at that time. Guru nanak even mentioned that babar did not even spare Muslim women and Muslims doing namaz . During his rule, many hindu and Muslim women became widows.In the first part of the babar bani, he asks from God that so much cruelty was going around, O god why did you not even show a little mercy or feel even a little pain for these people. Then in the next part, guru nanak gave answer himself that all is happening in the will of the formless Lord. These people also were themselves indulged in maya, and thus forgot the true name of the Lord. You may not know but at that time , people used to do pakhandwaad at a high level, they used to say that we will kill babar army with black magic, tantra mantar and other rituals. They did not take support of and chant the true lords name. That's why they faced such attrocities. No tantra mantra worked on the babar and his army. They did their job. If people would have uttered and chant the Lord's name and would not have indulged themselves in maya, five thieves, they would have got saved. When guru nanak recited babar bani, babar felt ashamed and his ego went away. He said to nanak that he always wanted to rule on land and was having a very strong desire to rule on people. Through this desire, pride and ego eventually entered in himself and he became cruel. He asked for forgiveness and promised guru nanak to walk on right path from now. Guru nanak forgave him. Guru nanak did all his job through shabad gyaan, he did not even need pick a sword . But where rulers like aurangzeb were not understandable through simple and sweet ways, guru sahib decided to pick a sword. It is very true that aurangzeb used to impose islamic ways on hindus. Just read the long conversation between guru teg bahadar ji and aurangzeb in delhi darbar . The whole conversation is historically recorded. Aurangzeb asked guru teg bahadar ji that you are not even a hindu, then why are you supporting these people just for a janeu. Guru replied that it is true that guru nanak didn't wear a janeu and didn't believe in idol worship and always took and chant the name of one , but that doesn't mean that if someone is forcely changing the religion of others, we will not try to stop. In every being, there is a divine light of the one. So we should respect everyone as a divine light of the one. So, if guru didn't wear janeu forcely , he will also not let snatch others' janeu forcely. Guru teg bahadar ji said that you ( Aurangzeb) said that I will convert all hindus into Muslims, and you say you are a true Muslim but you didn't even tolerate shias and sufis who were practicing true islam. Aurangzeb also killed a lot of shias and sufis . When Aurangzeb did not accept these sweet ways, guru gobind singh ji picked up a sword. One thing you may not know that in the army of Aurangzeb, there were many Muslims who knew that guru was a divine being and preached righteousness but they can't do anything because they were forced by Aurangzeb. Two Muslims ( who later became sikhs ) saed baig and saed Khan fought from the gurus side against Aurangzeb. The surprising fact was that these were earlier men of aurangzeb and were ordered by auranga to go and kill the guru. They followed orders and went to anandpur. But guru struck such an arrow of mercy in their eyes that they left to fight with the guru and fell on the gurus feet and decided to side by the guru. You can easily search on google both these names. Guru gobind singh ji fought battles both with hindu pahadi raje and Muslim mughals. We all know about Muslim mughals what they did but we were always shown one side and not told another side. Guru fought with Pahadi raje many battles. Pahadi raje were jealous with the guru just because of his growing power and just because the guru gave equal treatment to low caste people just like other castes. So, they used to attack anandpur. They allied with mughal forces with the mission to attack the guru . The pahadi raje even forgot that Aurangzeb was targetting hindus, still they supported him just because being against the guru? When they attacked anandpur, mughal officials took false oaths of quran and pahadi raje took the false oaths of mother cow that if the guru will leave anandpur. They will provide no harm. Guru already knew the inner ill intentions of these all. He didn't want to leave. But in order to maintain the respect for someone s religious identities and he also wanted to test them all whether they hold on to their taken oaths, he and all sikhs decided to leave anandpur on the request of other sikhs. The oaths were broken and all these who took oaths became false in the eyes of the whole world. This was the message the guru told the world, never trust a religious scholar who took false oaths in the name of religion. Rest we also know about suchanand, gangu what they did with sahibzaade. Now, I ask you who would you give fault a hindu or a Muslim? Gurus fight was against cruel ways not against religion. All the gurus had disciples from different religions. Nawab saif Khan, the relative of aurangzeb, was the governor of bengal at that time. When guru teg bahadar ji visited to preach sikhi there, he asked the guru to give darshan to him and spent few days with him. Guru spent few days there. The haveli in which guru gobind singh ji took prakash in patna was of saalas rai johri, a jaini diamond merchant, who embraced sikhi with the blessings of guru nanak and was his disciple. Jaani shah, khwaja raushan were the disciples of guru hargobind who became sikhs later . Some buddhists of tibet and sikkim were disciples of guru nanak at that time. Peer buddhu shah, a sufi saint, who was so much respected by Aurangzeb, fought along with guru gobind singh ji against mughals and pahadi rajas in the battle of bhangani in which his sons achieved martyrdom. When Aurangzeb came to know that peer has sided with guru, auranga arrested peer and his family and martyred his whole family. There are a lot more examples that the people from all religions knew that who were the gurus and how much power and blessings they used to have, that's why guru had disciples from all religions. Its just some blind kings and people trapped in maya who didn't see. Guru gobind singh ji wrote zafarnama at the end, the cause of aurangzebs death . Guru clearly stated in it to Aurangzeb that he was so far from the real principles of islam. Neither he had trust on his islam nor on his prophet. That's why he committed such deeds . The words of guru had such impact on auranga that he really realised that he was such a worst emperor and how much worst he had done with the humanity that he will go to the court of Lord with blackened face. His body started trembling and he died after reading it. Guru gobind singh ji was the tenth form of the formless Lord. So, he holds the never ending knowledge in his hands. Arya writer daulat rai writes in his book.When guru sahib was in child form , sikhs requested his father to send him to learn languages from different scholars . Listening this, guru teg bahadar ji smiled and said to his mind that they were considering baal gobind an ordinary child like themselves. Guru sent baal gobind to farsi teacher qazi peer mohammad. Qazi started teaching farsi alphabets to the baal gobing rai. Gobind rai ji said that qazi ji! You are teaching me arbi farsi alphabets now. Then you will teach me sentences, then quran. If you desire, I will recite the kalams of quran to you without learning these arbi farsi alphabets first. Guru gobind singh ji recited with such ease that qazi became shocked that how is it possible as guru gobind singh ji never learned alphabets first, neither read quran nor any divine scriptures nor vedas. Yet he knew all. Qazi respected baal gobind rai by bowing to him. The same incident happened when he was sent to learn sanskrit but he amazed and shocked all with his knowledge . So , gurus win over mughals and pahadis was a win of the truth over false . Despite all these things, gurus never said that the whole Muslim religion and whole hindu religion was responsible. Only the blind people were responsible who were trapped in maya. I am not supporting mughals and I never will , I am just telling what reality is.

I attacked Chanderi and by the grace of Allah captured it in a few hours. We got the infidels slaughtered and the place which had been Daru’l-Harb (nation of non-muslims) for years was made into a Daru’l-Islam (a muslim nation).” In Babur’s own words in a poem about killing Hindus (From the ‘Baburnama’ ) he wrote : “For the sake of Islam I became a wanderer, I battled infidels and Hindus, I determined to become a martyr Thank God I became a Killer of Non-Muslims!”
