Lmao what knowledge? This is literally basic history and geography that anyone in Pakistan knows - especially the people who ‘administer’ us. If you think Pakistan ‘divides you’ then go to Afghanistan? KPKs gdp is larger than Afghanistan lol, women here don’t have to wear tents to go outside, and most importantly we have freedom. Yes there are problems, but as a Pashtun I’m much MUCH happier in Pakistan and never wish to ‘unite’ with Afghanistan. There are hundreds of ethnic groups that live divided in different countries - Pashtuns aren’t the only ones. Pakistan zindabad forever

Over the years, particularly during the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s and the subsequent civil wars, many Afghans believe that Pakistan has provided support to various militant groups, including the Taliban. This has been perceived as interference in Afghanistan's internal affairs, breeding resentment among the Afghan population. Political leaders in both countries have sometimes used anti-Pakistan or anti-Afghan rhetoric to bolster their domestic agendas, further fueling mutual animosity.

@@PoisonelleMisty4311 I’m curious… does Afghanistan think the same of the US and Russia too? Because I only seem to see Afghans hating on Pakistanis. And btw Pakistan literally aided the Afghans in resisting the soviet invasion… and now I think we should’ve just let it happen lol. We provided aid, rehabilitation, and supported 4+ million Afghan refugees in Pakistan and what do we get in return? A bunch of bearded men wanting to separate our country lol. They were better off under the US and USSR

Turkish Nationalists did everything in their power to humiliate and belittle the Caliph. Within hours, the Imperial family was asked to leave Turkey. The passport issued to the deposed Khalifa referred to him simply as ‘Monsieur Abdul-Mejid file d’Abdul Aziz’ and The dejected ex-Khalifa had to spend the rest of his life on a stipend from the Nizam of Hyderabad, donations from Indian Princes and magnates and funds from the Red Cross Society Source: (The Khilafat Movement in India, 1919-1924, Muhammad Naeem Qureshi, dissertation submitted to University of London, 1973, pp.269-271, 276). The British Foreign Minister Lord Curzon addressing the British Prime Minister shortly before the Second World War. He stated, “We must put an end to anything which brings about any Islamic unity between the sons of the Muslims. As we have already succeeded in finishing off the Khilafah so we must endure that there will never arise again unity for the Muslims whether it be intellectual or cultural unity” (this means the unity on the viewpoint about life, something that affects daily affairs, namely the social, economic, education and ruling systems of Islam). Lord Curzon Effectively, by 1924 the Ottoman Empire was over. In his famous quote Curzon pronounced the following: “The situation now is that Turkey is dead and will never rise again because we have destroyed its moral strength, the Khilafah and Islam.” (The Khilafah Osmania) Lord Curzon, an Enemy of Islam

The relationship between Afghanistan and Pakistan is complex, characterized by a shared history, cultural ties, and significant challenges. Both countries have numerous familial bonds due to their shared ethnic groups, such as Pashtuns. However, they have also experienced political tensions, border disputes, and conflicts that have strained their relationship. Promoting love, understanding, and cooperation between nations is essential for peace and prosperity. Many people in both countries hope for stronger ties and better mutual understanding, as they share cultural and historical connections. Efforts towards dialogue, collaboration, and humanitarian support can foster a stronger bond between the two nations.

Being a Pakhtun here is my critique of his statements. If Pakistan was not there, then the Afghans would have had the same issue with India. Do you seriously think that India would have simply given away NWFP to Afghanistan? 😂 He also fails to point out that the Durand line was agreed and then ratified by multiple Afghan rulers. After Pakistan came into being they just unilaterally declared the agreements that they had signed as null and void and have been crying ever since. Lastly another point that he fails to mention is that the state of Afghanistan does not just contain Pakhtuns- it also contains a substantial number of non-Pakhtun ethnicities eg Tajik, Hazara, Turkmen etc. Afghanistan cannot lay claim to KP in Pakistan based on Pashtun ethnicity while there are more Pakhtuns in Pakistan than Afghanistan and while they themselves also have many non-Pakhtun ethnicities

The relationship between Afghanistan and Pakistan is complex and deeply rooted in historical, political, and cultural contexts. While there are many shared cultural and ethnic ties that can foster a sense of kinship-such as the Pashtun people who live across both countries-political tensions and colonial legacies have influenced their relationship in significant ways. The British colonial era, which involved the partition of territories and the establishment of borders, played a crucial role in shaping the modern dynamics between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Durand Line, drawn in 1893 by British colonial officials, divided Pashtun tribes between the two countries and has remained a source of contention ever since. Many people in both countries view this boundary as arbitrary and believe it has contributed to misunderstandings and conflicts. In recent decades, geopolitical factors, including the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the rise of militant groups, and differing foreign policies, have exacerbated tensions. Issues such as security concerns, refugee crises, and cross-border insurgencies continue to affect relations between the two nations. Despite these challenges, there are numerous calls from various groups on both sides advocating for unity, cooperation, and love between the peoples of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Many believe that mutual understanding and dialogue can help bridge the divides created by colonialism and political strife. Ultimately, fostering good relations requires acknowledgment of shared histories, cultural ties, and the impact of colonial legacies, as well as a commitment to peaceful coexistence and cooperation in addressing common challenges.

The relationship between Afghanistan and Pakistan is complex and has historical, cultural, and political dimensions. Both countries share a long border and have intertwined histories, particularly due to factors like migration, trade, and cultural exchange. Many ethnic groups, such as the Pashtuns, inhabit both countries, leading to shared cultural ties. However, their relationship has often been fraught with tension due to border disputes, political conflicts, and differing national interests. For instance, the Durand Line, drawn by British colonial powers, is a source of contention, with some Afghans questioning its legitimacy and seeking greater autonomy or recognition for Pashtun tribes across the border. In summary, while there are cultural and historical ties that might suggest a fraternal relationship, political tensions and conflicts have often complicated their interactions.

I am a MEHSOOD from the tribes of SOUTH WAZIRISTAN, I love my traditions, my culture and the values that my people hold. But Unfortunately much of our culture has been destroyed and distorted. We were not allowed to step foot in our own lands for 10 to 14 years and became refugies in our own country(Pakistan) that we are part of. Our people have been deprived of education and it is only now that most of us are reaching to the education which is our right. "Right", Up until the day we merged with KPK, our rights were way different then our fellow Pakistanis and even if I told them they won't believe me. But after all that, wounds are healing and everything's coming back. I am happy and thankful that i had education. But my rich culture and the traditions that I saw and heard about from my grandfathers and grandmothers are no where to be seen. Only fractions and broken pieces is all that remains.

What Mr. Tilak says about the pashtunvali or thirst for revenge among the Pashtun traditions post 6:00 is very similar to what you see in many places in India as well. Especially, it is or at least was common in Tamil nadu. There has been movies made on such stories or storylines set in such settings. Even the "not being able to refuse refuge to an enemy and not killing him inside your home but waiting for him to step outside your home to kill him" is also a common thing which was culture among many castes in tamil nadu. There was even a movie in Tamil based on this concept.

I agree mostly with the guest and respect his true and deep knowledge of his about pathans but he missed the main question why Afghan hate pakistan. 1 pakistan have captured KPK formerly known as NWFP but now all the pashtoons of NWFP love pakistan. 8 out of 11 pakistan cricket team players are pashtoon. 2: in 1979 Afghanistan was attacked by USSR and Afghanistan Liberal government was helping USSR but some people stood against it and pakistan helped them against USSR as it was pakistans religious duty and engage USSR in Afghanistan and stop them from entering Pakistan for hot water. Now liberals afghanis hate pakistan y pakistan helped Jihaadis in Afghanistan. And this time against USA.

It is interesting you mentioned him Hari Singh Nalwa, he is the main reason why Afghanistan lost its territory to British India. The ousted Afghan king wanted his Throne back while Hari Singh wanted to advance into Afghanistan, so the Afghan king promised Singh territory in return for Singh to help him get his Throne back, so the areas promised to Singh as gift, was drafted into agreement and presented to Afghans as Brirish areas in return for Afghanistan sovereignty hence the Afghan went ahead with agreement. This is why half of Afghanistan is occupied by Pakistan

The British sent an army of retribution at the end of the First Afghan war, which burnt much of Kabul, and the Amir did become a British ally. The 2nd & 3rd Afghan wars are British victories, which is why the Afghans did accede to the Durand line, and which is why they disown it now, the claim being that it was imposed under duress. Afghan military success is exaggerated. Yes, it is a tough country to hold, it is mountainous, and there is a martial tradition. However, it is also underdeveloped, and there isn't too much there to make retaining the region worth the cost for any imperialist. Most recognise that a strategy of deterrence & hegemony is more beneficial.

The Durand line was created by Maharaja Ranjit Singh during the Sikh empire data. The British changed the name of the border to “Durang Line” in an attempt to ensure the Sikh empire name can be forgotten. So the area South if the Ranjit Line was captured by his army and the northern part of that line was Afghanistan - modern day Afghanistan demarcation.

Afghanistan has 75% Pashtun tribe but 45% Speaks Pashto while while the Tajiks, Hazara, Uzbek adopted Farsi. In southern and Eastern Afghanistan Pashto is spoken and taught in institutions. As for Kabul has majority Farsi speakers. Pashtun community exists in Northern Afghanistan and western Afghanistan. This is a Pakistani policy to keep Afghanistan destroyed so that Afghan Pashtuns don't make better living standards, Pashtun identity, Pashtun nationalism is dissolved by Pakistan in Afghanistan so that it doesn't give rise to Pashtun independence in Pakistan.

Hazraza division is full of non pashto speaking pathans and other mixed ethnicities like rajputs, maliks, and gujjars. I have a lot of respect for pashtun because of their loyalty towards Pakistan. They are hardowking and always strive for the better. I want to add one more thing in 1961 afghanistan army launched an invasion to occupy the territories they thought the tribal areas of Pakistan would support afghan army and will attack pakistan army. Pakistan army had a very little army on afghan border. So whn the invasion started by afghans the tribals areas of Pakistan turned agianst afghans. Tribal Pashtuns fought for Pakistan gave thier lives. Pasthtuns halted afghans at bajur. After than Pakistan army came and launched counter attack on afghans, Pakistan airforce destroyed whole artillery support of afhgan army Afghanistan lost very badly in that war and Pakistan easily drove afghan army out with the help of Pashtun militia. Language is not linage and tribal identity- many Pashtuns around the world don't speak Pashtu- but they have Pashtun identity like any other tribal identity- For example most Scottish, Walsh, Irish, speaks English but identify self by their tribe! Majority of Farsi speakers are not actual Farsi tribe! even Iran has different tribal identity, but they all speak Farsi- Farsi in Iran (as a national language) was interduce 120 year ago- in Tajikistan 20 year ago- In Afghanistan Pashtun King Ahmad Shah Abdali introduced Farsi as an official government written language 300 years ago! so most Pashtuns spoke Farsi including people of Herat! Pashtuns over all these years never forced Pashtu language on anyone - because both languages are similar and also Farsi is easy to learn, have 60% Arabic words common to many countries. Same with Hindi -which is easy to learn similar and common words spoken around the area is included - borrowed words that makes it easy to learn and complete!

Orientalist writers who are and were mostly British wrote these fabricated books to sow divisions among the people of the region to serve their colonial interests. Afghans fought to defend and protect their motherland from the evil white man and their brown partners and will continue to do so, as long as an Afghan has an ounce of life in him. One love! ❤🇦🇫🇮🇳🇮🇷🇱🇰🇧🇩🇵🇰 The human race is one big family. Spread love not war.

@@Based.Afghan Punjabis and Sindhis as well as Muhajir migrants are not Indian, but "Indic", there is a difference. Being Indic means sharing a common vedic cultural history and belonging to the civilisations same was as we Bengalis do and being Indian means being from the republic of India. Funny thing is, the name was given by foreigners so India has a name of a river mainly in Pakistan. The KPK region never should have been part of Pakistan as well as Bengal, but thankfully we separated and Pakistan is nearly a failed state ran by Shias.

Pakistani pashtuns in Pakistan are definitely not a fan of Afghanistan. My pashtun friend has quoted that afghan pashtuns are the bad lot among pashtuns. Pashtuns of pakistan are an intergral part of Pakistan for example the ex PM was a pashtun and he was voted in Punjab in majority. KPK which is pashton majority province is an intergal part of Pakistan. The historian is a little off from the ground reality.
