Here in Canada Pepsi Twist is now called Real lemon Pepsi-the name change is because they want people to know that they used real lemon and not simulated flavour or "natural flavours" lol There is also a Lime Pepsi here, but I honestly do not know if that has real lime... I am a bit older than your KZbin viewer, and my review of Pepsi goes back to 1989 when Pepsi decided to change their can. I was unaware that the flavor profile of this wonderful drink from when I was a small boy was g o n e. The flavor was ephemeral but I could taste this and it was wonderful. I am certain Pepsi removed something from their name sake soda, but to this day Pepsi will not confess any change was made to their drink in 1989. High Fructose Corn Syrup, I thought was the offending change, but no, Pepsi rolled out "ThrowBack" Pepsi with real sugar, which I did buy when it was available. The taste? Not like what I did remember. Big disappointment for me. I still drink Pepsi and I am currently 69.

2017 was a weird year for Pepsi. That was the year Pepsi Fire, Pepsi Salted Caramel, Lemon Lemon, Izze, and a bunch of other failed products came out. I made sure to try the Pepsi Fire and it was horrible, so it's definitely a good thing it is no longer on the shelf. As for Mountain Dew Revolution, that was a part of the a promotion called Mountain Dewmocracy where people get to vote which Mountain Dew gets to be a permanent flavor and unfortunately Revolution didn't win so it was never made permanent. Very rarely, Mountain Dew runs a promotion called Back by Popular Dewmand where old flavors get rereleased for a short period of time. I've heard rumor of one coming soon but unfortunately I don't think Revolution is apart of this one, if I remember correctly it was supposed to be Typhoon (I don't know how accurate my source is).

For $4 it's not Coke "Blak" here in Canada, but someone at a specialty store managed to import a can of coke coffee from somewhere. (not expired) The person selling it to me said "either Japan or China...it's expensive because it's an import..."

Some of these sodas I actually never had tried or heard of in my lifetime. I do add my own squeeze of lemon juice to any regular cola drink (preferably Coke) when I get the opportunity to do it. Or I select the Coca-Cola Lemon option from the Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain drink dispenser.

I believe a Cinnamon Simple Syrup would be the ticket to add to a beverage to replicate Pepsi Fire and Coke Cinnamon, except as a simple syrup it's also very sweet, and more sugar is exactly NOT what Pepsi and Coke need added to them. Greg at HowToDrink has made a cinnamon infused simple syrup for use in cocktails and mixed drinks before.

I remember RC setting itself apart by printing cash prizes under a gray liner in the cap. Aside from the 10¢ bottle return here in Oregon, the winning caps could be worth 10¢, 25¢, or a dollar. I'm sure there were larger prizes, and Coke decided to imitate them towards the end. I missed out on Pepsi Fire, but I did get a 12-pack of Cinnamon Coke a year or two ago. It wasn't bad--cassia oil seems to be the main ingredient of all colas, so this was just a boost of the Cinnamon note like Coke Orange or Lemon Pepsi. Coke and Pepsi have those flavors already, but Coke seems to lean more towards orange while Pepsi leans towards lemon. It was only natural to boost them at some point.

10:56 "What happened to the revolution? God, you'd think Devil Woman was never written!" (Rik Mayall -- The Young Ones, circa 1983?) I loved that show! I wonder whatever happened to Fresca. I loved that "negative hobnail" glass bottle with the dents in it. Slice was still around in 1991 when I drove from my home in Ohio to see my cousin in Connecticut. He took me to a store called Walgreens. We wanted a drink that was in the refrigerators where two glass doors are staggered, and one overlaps the other when you slide it open. It was stuck, so I heaved really hard and then there was a fountain of soda running down the inside of the glass. I looked and said "we just sliced a can of Slice!" (A can had tipped out into the way of the inner door.) We ran out of the store, doubled-over laughing. There were a lot of fun memories in this video, Babble Top! Thanks!

The original Fresca contained cyclamates, which the FDADecided caused cancer, so it was banned. Later on, the FDA decided they had made a mistake, but Frescs with cyclamates was gone.

When I got married the owner of RC cola in my town was a member of my church. They lent my aunt and uncle a set of real gold goblets to use in my wedding. It was amazing. I loved RC Cola. I drank it my whole life. At least until it was no more 😢

The only ones I have heard of is Coca-Cola Blak, Fruitopia, and Pepsi Twist. I also think I have heard of Slice before. But I really don't remember. I also never had any of those sodas before. But I am very surprise to hear that Fruitopia and Pepsi Twist was discontinued. I thought they were still around. It really doesn't matter to me. Since it is extremely rare that I would drink soda. And at one time I used to be a very big soda drinker. Now I know better than to drink that horrible stuff. And prefer the more natural made drinks like flavored water, fruit juices, cow milk, lemonade, and ice tea.

The problem is that Pepsi fire came out in the summer. Ya know when it's hot as balls outside? Who's going to reach for something called fire when everything is melting outside? No one. Other countries get Sakura, peach, melon or even banana flavors for the spring/summer. What does the US get? Cinnamon... I love cinnamon, but you couldn't of gave me a bottle in the summer.

not sure if anyone remembers this one but...7up Ice!! That was the best soda I've ever tasted. 7up flavour with a hint of mint. In the hot summer days, when you held it in the fridge for some time....you could just feel that drink go down your throat. It was so damn refreshing!

It's very easy to make Pepsi Fire at home. Buy a Pepsi, buy some Red Hots Cinnamon Candy, put Red Hots in bottle of Pepsi and let it dissolve....you're welcome.

Still miss Mountain Dew Dark Berry & Diet Pepsi Twist SOOOOO MUCH!!! Guess I should see if I can order it from Canada or Switzerland. Squeezing in juice from the actual fruits seems like it would work fine, but I've tried it & it's just not the same! Btw, if you liked Pepsi Fire, there is a Cinnamon Coke available in a limited capacity. I've only seen it in the 7.5 oz. cans &, initially, in the 20 oz. bottles, though.
