I’ve been doing this since TFS dropped and it has one massive bonus. If you grapple late enough (when the gamble is far away) for some reason you get way more speed than normal. Beating out even a shatter skate. Then you can combine this with the ascension aspect to carry that speed forward resulting in some funny long jumps

have been having a blast using eager edge + ascension + grapple + gunpowder gamble while using the new exotic chest armor that gives you a ton of DR when your ascension jolts a target for 10 seconds FA18 super hornet build lmfao also if you ascension mid grapple it launches you forward during ascension, and you can grapple melee after for another lunge

The grapple ascension thing seems pretty good for PvP, def gonna try it next time I play, but shatter skating just clears everything else for PvE, the only thing that beats it is well skating, which requires you to have your super

Grapple then cancel halfway with ascension. Idk why but you get a ton of momentum but if you use ascension at the end of the grapple it kills your momentum

Gunpowder gamble is just BEGGING for an exotic bungie!! How has it NOT gotten an exotic after being in the game for 2 years but grapple got one immediately? Hell there's a (now useless) solar hunter grenade based exotic that's YEARNING for something to do after it was nerfed into a D-tier armour piece! If not a new exotic armour piece, rework young ahamkara's spine. I have ideas too! Idk if they're feasible, but I have in my time thought so much about what gunpowder gamble could do with a dedicated exotic.

the whole point of tangle grappling is that you dont loose your grenade charge.... in this case you are better off grappling a rocket than loosing a fragment hability
