I’ve been to Longhorn and Jerry’s. As a local it’s like walking into a time machine with these older casinos and I love that about them. As time rolls on I hope we hold on to these (sketchy) gems. 👍🏽

I've been to Vegas 80 times and NO, I've never been to any of the places you've made reference to. However I was at the edge of my seat waiting for your next review. I really loved this video for a variety of reasons. I am soooo over the Strip now and frequent all the locals casinos. I probably won't be returning til' next year and appreciate your introducing the lesser known locations. Thanks and keep up the good work!!!!

i can tell she makes these vids out of genuine passion, since very few ppl would wanna go to these places. those who like classic/vintage vegas already stay downtown. and the more contemporary-loving party ppl, tourists, sports fans, foodies, stay on the strip. if i'm going to lose $ i'd rather do it at an mgm property where they comp me. however, i heard the food at jerry's nugget cafe is quite good for a decent price. if these shady places had something to offer, with less danger, they would get more visitors. jerry's nugg doesn't even have a hotel.

Jerry's Nugget is a great place. Good restaurant there. Would never go to a place where I had to be buzzed in. Longhorn is a nice place. Good restaurant. They took out the table games. Sam's Town is very nice also. When my wife was alive and we went to Las Vegas we had to go to Sam's Town.

When I went to Jerry's Nugget, it was very smoky and musty smelling. I went to The Silver Nugget a couple of months before it closed, there was only a couple of players there. You forgot Ojos Locos casino, It used to be the Lucky Club Casino. It just got renovated. Thanks for a great video!

I've been to all except La Villita. Jerry's is one of my favorite casinos, as it has a local feel and decent table games with low minimums. The Silver Nugget is the worst casino I've been to, even worse than Stage Door.

What a beautiful Saturday surprise! Sadly, these dives have no pools. There was a good dive down Boulder called the Skyline. It used to be the best place for breakfast because the breakfast came on two plates. Good show, thank you.

I broke in dealing craps at the Silver Nugget. Just a bit of info. Major was actually Riddle's first name. He was never in the military. He was also a stockholder in the Dunes. Big time.

Hopeful quality of P.P.'s Prime Rib is better than it used to be. Security was actually pretty good on the premises. Not exactly a place to impress a date, but I rarely saw problems at the Casino the few times I visited

If you feel like you need to keep one eye on the machine and one eye on your surroundings in a locals spot, then you should be absolutely terrified of the strip and downtown.

Jerry's Nugget....In 2017 we drove out to see the daughter and meet our future SIL and he took us to Jerry's for some inexpensive prime rib. It was a Friday night and he told us if you walk a little bit east and NE of the casino that you would die....

Back in the 70's and 80's, every casino had $.49 shrimp cocktails, or cheaper. There was an episode of Letterman where he went up and down the strip looking for the best. I think this is a thing of the past, but curious if any Casino's have anything close to that now.

Went to the Longhorn once back in the day to use a blackjack match-play coupon. We each play our one hand of blackjack. As we turn to leave, the pit-boss said "must be military". I still don't know what he meant by that comment.

I've never been to any of those places but I'm sure my dad has. He hit just about every casino in Nevada that has electricity. What about Stage Door right around the corner from the Flamingo? When you walk in you have to get your ID scanned and you get wanded. 99% of the people smoke there. After dark 110% of the people smoke. The payouts on the slots are good and they're open 24/7. They have a $3 hot dog and beer special that runs all day and night. In a very short period of time you can win money, drink cheap beer, eat hot dogs and get lung cancer.

These casinos were called “sawdust” joints as they used to have concrete floors with sawdust on them. The fancy casinos were called “carpet” joints as they had carpet floors. Thats the old school Vegas parlance to distinguish the seedy joints from the nice ones.

I've been to Longhorn Casino just once. The only reason that I went there was to use two blackjack coupons from the LVA coupon book (lost on both). This place was smoky and some of the people there looked like they just cashed their welfare checks. I played my BJ coupons and left. I did not feel comfortable in this place. If there ever was a "dive" casino this certainly is one.
