I believe I commented on one of your videos a few months ago that you and a personal friend of mine were my inspirations for pursuing a career change. I self studied Python for 4 months and now am almost 2 months into a 10 month full stack bootcamp. Also attending Tech Summit in SF in June (my first time visiting SF, so excited). One day I’ll have my own black jacket like yours 🥹 I just want to say, if anybody is reading this and is hesitant to make the leap, remember every great journey that’s been achieved began with just the first step.

When I was in High School, I got the chance to experience basic HTML & CSS coding. That time, we were using notepad as it was just one term out of 4 in a school year and the school doesn't want to go beyond notepad. I am from the Philippines by the way. I loved how it squeezes my brain to think. That time, I was so frustrated I couldn't get the three pictures to cut the screen the way I want it to. To this day, I still couldn't get over how frustrated I was that time. Fast forward to 12 years, I am now on my third day in learning software engineering at my own pace. I have a degree in political science however, my heart is still gearing towards tech. I am looking forward to joining a BootCamp in the near future. Maybe in a month or two. I just want to build a little idea about tech so I will not ransack my brain to the fullest by the time I start BootCamp. Also, at least, I can prepare a lot of questions so I can tick them off as I progress in BootCamp. For now, I'd like to watch a day in your life as a software engineer. Makes me happy knowing women like us can finally break boundaries and be a part of something big that used to be a male-dominated field.

I'm curious to know how many hours per week (average) you spend on meetings with your current project. I like coding because there are those little dopamine hits on the way to completing the task. Of course there are times where I want to throw my laptop out of the window but that's part of the job. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your project. 😀

Maybe like 10 hours a week on meetings and then 40 hours working, so like a 50 hour work week
