Such a shame to see all of these places go. Where I live, the Kmart, Sears, Dillard's, JCPenney, Hastings, Target, and many more places have closed. It was extremely depressing seeing all of them go, and it's still depressing due to seeing all the abandoned buildings around town. Maybe I should film some of them some day before they are gone. I grew up in Monroeville. When our toys r us closes, it will mark the first time in almost 35yrs that we won't have an actual toy store. Sad times.

Sad to see ToysRUs and BabiesRUs closing for good. I think 33,000 employees are losing their jobs. Very Sad. mpbirds Speaking of Kmart, the company that been struggling for about 20 years is going to outlive toys r us. I suppose that a retail giant that had been rich for 40 years and still probably has millions or even billions of dollars can survive for a while while closing hundreds of stores every month. Kmart in my area closed in 2014 and our Target closed in February, now Sunmart is looking like Kmart did before it closed, but worse. Walmart and Aldi is all we have as good stores now.

mpbirds All these stores you mentioned-I miss them, too, esp. the kmarts. I went there as a child, then went there with My kids. One of my sons has a boy and he's bought things from that store, too. Remember Phar-moor well as I often went there for makeup and things. Sad.

This location was originally Montgomery Wards and then was converted to a Giant Eagle. Hechinger's was in the downstairs for years.

Purchased my little’s stroller at babies r us. It retailed for $600, and I paid $150 after sales tax. Brand new in the box and people (other moms) compliment me on it all the time. Haha I seriously think it’s so weird when people compliment my stroller, but I find myself checking out other strollers all the time 😂🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

I read an article that they go into bankruptcy court this Thursday and that will be when the government or whatever will approve the filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy so we will know very soon

Thanks for the heads-up on the stuffed Geoffrey - went to my TRU today to pick one up, they were $10 (regular price as this store was supposed to stay open) and only had a few left. I was also able to get a Nintendo figure that I had missed out on as they are filling the shelves with all the old stock in back. The store was crowded with people getting the Clearance Items and using their Gift Cards. The dock was filled with semi's unloading product from the distribution center and the manager was there to set the store up for liquidation. Sad...

Finally had the opportunity to catch this vid, Wallie. Tax season has been killing my time! That’s truly an amazing store, which I too, find hard to believe is still almost fully stocked, especially at 50% off most items. It didn’t appear to have many customers, which may account for the time of the evening you were there. Really enjoyed the look around, and thanks for the TRU updates as well!

Hey Wallie,was just announced on NBR Toys R Us is tommorow filing bankruptcy and very soon closing and liquidating all the stores this week.🆑I won't miss them,I'm older and was 80s when they came around.It was Hills where the toys were🎶when I was a kid in our area.However I thought Jeffrey the Giraffe was cute store character.

I remember when my sister had her first baby in 2011 Babies R Us was so packed you could hardly find a parking spot. Even on Monday mornings. Hard to believe they're closing! I hope everyone employed with TRU/BRU who lost their jobs have found new jobs already.

Babies R us is already gone in utah, the last 3 toys r us in the state will be next on this list. That includes the old Murray location. Course all my babies are older, so I really have no need for the babies r us. 😢
