My 2014 AeroPro has gained a lot of lead over the years, but it remains one of my favorite sticks of all time. I LOVE it so much and I continually string it with high tension poly in the low 60's. Fantastic racquet.

I actually always really liked the coretex system in the handle. Gave the racket a ‘two piece construction’ kind of look and made it seem super premium.

I have both the yellow one and the newest Rafa Pure Aero one. I have the same kind of hits as Rafa, just less developed and with less strength. We have practically the same style, which is why this racket can be perfect for someone who also has this playing style.

I have a set of Pure Aero but felt they didn't have that much of power till I added some led. 4 gr at 12 in one racquet and 4 gr at 3 and 9 (2 gr each side) and felt a big difference, more spin and more penetration plus heavier kick services.

Still play with the same Aero from 2006 (first edition). Over the years I've thrown it so many times but it's still going strong. I've tried a few raquets since such as the 2021 pure drive and nothing compares with my og 2006 APD. I can see why the pros still stick with the model that's 17 years old

Nice video. Played with the APD back in 2007. I enjoyed it, but soon left it after having a hard time controling the power. I have not tried another version since.

The original was the first good racquet I bought back in 2005. I still use it some to this day, but I have moved on to a smaller head and heavier frame.

I think I might have tested the second version back in the day. Your description fits what I remember of it. Basically I thought "ok, this is not for me" and I haven't tried playing with any Pure Aero/AeroPro Drive ever since.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the steam 99s. I think it's one of the most unique rackets ever produced. I't's really hard to give up the spin, stability, and power once you've played one for a while. I hope they come out with something similar again soon.

It's curious that the 2019 is considered the 7th gen where there have only been six iterations: 1. Original APD 2. APD Cortex 3. APD GT 4. APD Active Cortex 5. Pure Aero 6. Pure Aero 2019 Unless I missed a model somewhere in between

Haha, just keeping you on your toes. Although, Babolat did call the 2016 Pure Aero the 'Sixth gen' on their KZbin channel with the video title, "The new Babolat Pure Aero: creating the 6th Generation," which is rather odd

That's something I've wondered about for years, how come tennis companies weren't sued for leaving the impression players were using the racquets that they only endorsed?! May have been common knowledge to the well informed but if you've just started the game it wouldn't. Apologies for being negative but another pet peeve is why they don't release pro stock moulds on the open market, surely we're all not a bunch of weaklings who can't lift anything above 350g. They'd probably sell quite well and could be marketed for advanced players only (not that I am one) but it would be nice to get a feel for the precision needed to use pro equipment! As always great vid!
@NoNo-bd2db4 жыл бұрын
Nice vid! Can you make one for the Head Pyramid Tour (also called Pyramid Midplus and Pyramid 630)? It’s a unique vintage racquet that deserves a play test and some spotlight.

The 2016 babolat pure aero plus is one of our favorite rackets of all time. Easy power and spin really helps out one of our shorter players so he can smack some winners and be more aggressive. Side note: check us out too! We can decently hit a tennis ball!
@jorgeandrescoppiano4 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen rdc pics of Rafael’s stick. He uses a APDO with 65 ra strung. Yes. A pro stock. I played my friend’s 2010 version. Old dead Rpm 1.30 @53 (6 months old). Too much power. Forces you to play with lots of spin for the ball to dip before the lines. The old poly made it harsh on my hand. I prefer flexy control oriented racquets. 95-98.

Hi thanks for this review. Due to that gt issue, does it mean cortex and gt are just the same except for the paint job? Thanks I’m asking since im switching back to cortex. I have a pair of 2016 and i love it. However for some reason, i would love to own another pair of cortex since im a heavy spinner and i think i also love the feel of the cortex. So if ever cortex and gt are just the same, ill buy 1 gt since i only have 1 cortex at the moment. Thanks

I was the exact opposite of u, I loved the second generation and didn't like the third generation, everyone is different. 🎾😊🎾😊 the second and 4th generation felt like they had a faster swing weight, I cant stand head heavy racquets, my maneuverability suffers immensely.

for me worst racquet you really have to play best tennis of yout life if you wanna perform with this racquet it has no precision not that much spins any racquet can do that amount of spin and has usually better control and power, would not recommend
